Good for them. It was a douche bag move plain and simple.

Nailed it. This guy is a fricking douche bag of the highest order. And he seriously might have one of the most punchable faces I’ve ever seen. I cannot wait for him and The General to go at it. Wade will let our play do the talking.

Will that be the same 0-3 talk that LSU did last year?

We all knew he was a clown after last year, but this is a new level. I don't understand why today's coaches seem to think it's ok to act like children. The idiotic grin, then he does it again, making sure people see how "funny" he is....what a joke. Act like a grown man, Nate. Geez, that's embarrassing. Hope he never wins another game.

I mean, we aren't. We're gonna play something like 15 games against top 30 teams. We don't have time to worry about 2 of the 15.

Didn't your coach just throw a 4 year old level tempur tantrum on literally the same day? Good lawd the lack of self awareness around here about your own coaches is hysterical.

Look George it’s ok to just say I’m ok with him acting classless as long as he keeps winning. That’s pretty much what we all do.

Yea that's pretty much what I said before.

Our program was dead, boring and rolled over anytime things got hard for going on 3 decades. He showed up and breathed swag and fire into it and created a culture of it. I think we're all fine with the blunt, feather ruffling stuff.

Link to me defending him?

As for your fan base, just look at this thread full of morons defending him and up voting each other in a never ending circle jerk. Congrats on your 2nd year of basketball relevancy since '68.

No disagreement here. I have no real problem with what he did the other night. I was bothered more by hollering at another teams players to GTFO after winning a classic basketball game. That was about as bush league as it gets. But, in fairness it was against my team, so might be a little more touchy about that.

Personally, I generally prefer the way Saban goes about his business. But I also know our basketball program is unique in what it needs, and we've had multiple Saban style personalities and it's just not something that generally works.

If it takes the coach being an arse to create a program culture of no fear and craving big moments then I can accept it.

They literally had to carry your coach to the locker room Saturday. Of all people, we have a hog fan explaining basketball etiquette.

I dig this guy and I absolutely love the style of basketball he brings to the SEC. By the comments and threads, I would say he has everyone else's attention as well.

Can’t argue with that. Better to win with brashness than be classy in mediocrity. I respect the honesty and that point of view.

I think most of our basketball programs have needed some variation of that type of guy to build their own identity outside of the shadow of football. The 70s and 80s had it with Dale, Wimp, Sonny, Mears, etc, and I think we've got it now with Wade, Pearl, Muss, Oats and even Barnes.

It adds flavor to the league, not to mention how good all of them are. The days of Grant, Lebo, Johnson/Jones, Heath/Pelphrey, etc were boring as hell (and not real good).

Says the guy with that 15 minute blip in time.

Personally, basketball became boring an irrelevant with the expansion to 64 team tourney, three bad officials instead of two and the 3 pt shot. Walking, carrying the ball, inability to hit foul shots, and try to figure out what is or isn't a foul anymore. It could be much better.

Dan would know what a punk. He shutdown Jordan in Mike's final college game and has a national championship ring under one of the most difficult coaches ever, Bobby Knight.

So yeah he definitely has the credentials to speak.

In all my years of watching LSU sports, I can only remember two coaches who didn't simply give a handshake to the LSU coach after beating the Tigers.

Both of them coached for Alabama at the time.

Dennis Franchione ripped Nick Saban as if an internet joke were actually true.

Nate Oats yelled "Get the frick out of here" toward the LSU bench after the SEC championship game when his team got lucky with an LSU put back not going in.

So, yes, Oats is a punk. I don't need Dan Dakich (who I pay no attention to) to tell me that.

I love this SEC basketball coaching group, so many hotheads/assholes/jerks/sore losers but rarely anyone will acknowledge their own coach
