I don't buy us at #5. We are going to have some serious lumber, but there are too many questions about the staff and bullpen.

There is more baseball talent in this state than most people realize. I coach HS baseball at a mid sized school so im familiar with some of those powerhouses.

Especially at the small school level mainly for the fact they have 2 baseball seasons (fall and spring). Its my opinion that those schools are under recruited by everyone. All those kids do is eat, sleep , and breath baseball.

Hogs usually hit EOK pretty hard. 2 Oklahoma kids on roster this season. Have the younger Wiggins kid committed from Roland for next year.

That Tulsa Metro has been kind to the Hogs.

Ole Miss would be silly to get rid of Bianco. His record is solid. I agree that post-season tends to underperfom than not, but I imagine he will break through soon..

It sort of reminds me of a better version of Florida with Andy Lopez. Had a solid resume, decent at FL, but gets canned...next school he is at AZ, wins a national title.

Bianco is better than Lopez by a mile.

Keep in mind, this comes from someone who is a fan of Auburn baseball. Maybe my standards are lower.

Tulsa has a lot of hog fans. Arkansas should hit that area harder in football.

He has had like 20 years to break through. He has only gotten out of the Super Regional round once and lost in the Regional round 10 times.

A kid from Roland is committed to you guys? They havent been very good for a while so thats surprising that they have elite D1 talent.

I agree. At some point, it just isn't getting done. Our recruiting has been top notch lately, and that may buy him a few more seasons even if we don't make Omaha, especially with the NIL changes.

I agree somewhat. The only way I would be comfortable with it is if the Carter had a top flight coach lined up already. I wouldn't necessarily want to just roll the dice with someone new.

Jaxon Wiggins was a freshman last year. He pumps 97-100 mph fast ball. Is a little flat, so he had some issues last year in the SEC. Should push for starter or closer role this year. His younger brother is committed currently in this class.

Edit: Carson Wiggins is 2024 class

We lost a lot from last year. But I think Vitello is a hell of a coach and will get the absolute most out of them

Also our home slate sucks arse and our away games are going to be tough.
Home: USC, Mizz, Bama, Auburn, Georgia
Away: Ole Miss, Vandy, Florida, Kentucky, State

LSU will have the best 1-5 in the country. 6-9 will be littered with guys who produced during the fall. A nice combination of highly recruited young guys and lower level transfers that REALLY produced at their previous stops. If 6-9 produces, LSU will have the best offense in the country, and it won't be particularly close.

ETA: we bring back two top 5 players in the country in Crews and Berry, a guy who led the SEC in OBP in morgan, Dugas who is the leading returning homerun hitter in the SEC, and then Cade Doughty, who is most likely a first round pick this summer. It's going to be very fun.

The pitching staff on the other hand.....

Unproven would be putting it lightly lol

LSU’s road SEC slate is formidable to say the least:

MSU, Florida, Arkie, Vandy, Alabama

LSU’s offense will be unbelievable. By far the best in the country is a little strong, but It’s going to be damn good.

LSU's offense might not end up being the best in the SEC West

It might be good, but there are a lot of HR's and scoring coming back all across the league, which is why those teams are ranked high in the pre-season poll.

To say it will be hands down the best in the nation, is quite ignorant or simply shows of only keeping up with LSU baseball and not what everyone else returns.
