Were talking thr best college players on one team so nothing but guys who would be drafted rounds 1-3 on one team coached for a month like a high school all American team kinda. They play the worst team in the nfl. Who wins

No. Even the worst NFL roster players are better than the best college players. More mature, more physical.

Yes. They used to do this and the college team won some. LINK

There's always a chance.

Anyone saying "no", roots for the bad guys in a heart wrenching sports movie.

No, but 2018 Bama would beat the Browns by 20.

Come on man, this is an offseason post. Though, I suppose your season is already over.

They did that for decades. The games were mostly boring.

This is true but a little misleading. The NFL Champs didn't treat it like a regular season game and wouldn't play their starters very long. As nfl salaries went up drawing more pro athletes from other sports the college all stars won less and less. The games ended after the nfl racked up a 12 game winning streak, playing back ups for three quarters was the norm for the nfl champs, and it became clear to everybody the college all stars were not going to win again. The nfl was 31-9-2 vs the college all stars. The college all stars last won in 1963 beating the Packers 20 -17.

Here is a wiki article that has a chart of the games

People are too quick to say "absolutely not" in these threads. Look how many rookies play and play very well in the NFL. Hell last year New Orleans had two rookies make the Pro Bowl, aka they were among the top players at their position.

I'm not saying it would happen every year, but if you took the best of the college players and had them practice for a month, they'd stand much more of a chance than people thought. If it was a strong college year at QB and OL, they could possibly win. That's where the mismatch would be, NFL DL vs college OL, and college QB vs NFL DC. If you had a year where someone like an Andrew Luck or a Cam Newton who excelled right away, hell yea they could win.

This isn't about playing the Champs though. You'd go from playing the best NFL roster to the absolute worst. I think that'd impact the outcome quite a bit. I'm shocked the college all-stars ever beat the NFL champs.

Yea and it was the NFL champs not the worst team and they wouldn’t treat it seriously now either. It would be like the ProBowl for them.

This. Anyone whose instant reaction is NO is pretty clueless.

The talent gap grows exponentially by level from the NFL down. But the gap in talent between the BOTTOM of the NFL and the top level of college football isn't all that great, relatively. A team of college all stars could not only beat last years Browns, the would likely do it multiple times over a 10 game series.

In fact, the 2017 draft class, led by guys like Patrick Mahomes, Myles Garrett, Christian McCaffrey, Marshon Lattimore, Alvin Kamara, JuJu Smith Schuster, Kareem Hunt and others would win more than it lost against 2017 Cleveland.

So, basically, anyone who says no is completely fricking stupid.

As proven by rookies like Alvin Kamara and Leonard Fournette last year who really struggled

Had nothing to do with pro offensive lines or a veteran NFL QB. Geeze, man.
