And the worst NFL team every year starts players who struggle and NFL busts.

Those players have years more of experience and nfl conditioning and training. Plus they’re an actual team who practice and play together. This AA team would be made up of different players.

Yes. They used to do this and the college team won some

They did. But the athleticism of today's NFL players in not even in the same ballpark as when those games were played.

Today this game would not even be close.

Only in LSU's mind does this mean Bama, apparently.

No, it gets brought up on SECr every damn year, usually by a Bama fan.

Let me guess, though, you think Jamal Adams didn't deserve to be an NFL starter, because, as you idiots have said, there's no way a rookie can be better than a veteran. Especially a team of 1st and 2nd round picks playing against the scrubs that populated the Cleveland roster.

What in the sweet frickidy fk are you spewing about?

College allstars have won against the previous year's NFL championship team 11 times, most recently 1963.

I've never understood this fictional line in the sand some people draw and say NFL players are better than college players "because NFL."

Henry Ruggs and Jerry Jeudy were better receivers than Cam Sims last year, but because Cam Sims is now on an NFL roster, he's better? That doesn't even mention AJ Brown who's better than all 3. The same can be said for several NFL starters...just because they're starting doesn't necessarily mean they're better than someone on their own bench or even the practice squad.

Were not on that team, dumbass.

In fact. had I chosen 2018 all stars, Mayfield and Callaway would have been on the fricking college team. Landry would have been in Miami.

Jesus Christ, some of you people are stupid.

With 1:22 remaining in the third quarter and the Steelers leading 24–0, high winds and lightning prompted all-stars coach Ara Parseghian to call for a time out. Fans subsequently invaded the field and began sliding on the turf, and with the rain continuing to fall heavily, the officials ordered both teams to their locker rooms.

Despite the efforts of officals, security and Chicago Police, all attempts to clear the field failed, and a group of drunk fans tore down the goalposts at the southern end of the stadium. However, by this time, the torrential rain had left parts of the field under 18 inches of water, meaning it would have been unplayable in any event.

Wow.

Me either. I picked out 2017 draftees who would beat out Browns at EVERY SINGLE POSITION ON THE TEAM, and there are still people stupid enough to argue that not only would they not dominate last year's Browns, they would be dominated by them.

There are some really fricking stupid people on this board.

You should have probably done all-American team because that’s what this thread is about. 12 of those 27 players you listed earned at least one 1st team All-American honor with 7 being consensus All-Americans. Still good but not as crazy good of a team the all rookie list had.

Not a snowball's chance in hell. Not every All-American will play in the NFL, but every player on an NFL roster plays in the NFL.

Buffalo is probably the worst team in football this year and they just blew out the Vikings in Minnesota. The Vikings have a loaded roster and played in the NFCCG last season and upgraded at QB. Buffalo would beat a college All-American team (or any college team, including Alabama) by however many points they wanted to.

I didn't read this thread, but I'm sure someone mentioned an All-American team beating the NFL champs in the 1960s, back when NFL players had second jobs in the offseason. NFL players train year round now and practice twice as long as college players.

ETA: Question for Evolved Simian, who appears to be championing for the college teams here. Do you think Alabama would beat the Bills, who just destroyed the Vikings in Minnesota? If so, you are a goddamned retard.

You're a fricking moron.

I showed you the team of college all stars I picked from 2017, and the NFL team from the same year that the would beat. They were better at every fricking position. DRAFT PICKS came in and beat out six of their starters and only one of them was good enough to make my 2017 college team.

Goddamn, some of you are fricking stupid.

I'm going to assume you're talking about the Browns from last season, because I'm not reading through 8 pages of this. The Browns could tell the best college team from last year that they're running off tackle left on every play and Joe Thomas would blow the college guy 8 yards off the ball on every down.

Except you didn’t. You picked the all rookie team which is quite different from the All-American team.

Show me which players weren't better than their equivalent on that Browns team. I'll go ahead and answer for you, since their draft picks beat out their veterans, and only one of those draft picks was good enough to be on this team. NONE OF THEM.

That Browns team would not only lose to this team, they would lose 8 of 10 if they played a series.

QB – Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans (can be swapped for Mahomes)
RB – Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs; Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
WR – Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams; Juju Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers

C – Pat Elflein, Minnesota Vikings
G – Dan Feeney, Los Angeles Chargers; Jermaine Eluemunor, Baltimore Ravens, and Ethan Pocic, Seattle Seahawks (tie)
T – Garett Bolles, Denver Broncos; Ryan Ramczyk, New Orleans Saints
Defense

DL – Derek Barnett, Philadelphia Eagles; Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns; Carl Lawson, Cincinnati Bengals; Dalvin Tomlinson, New York Giants
LB – Jarrad Davis, Detroit Lions; Reuben Foster, San Francisco 49ers; T.J. Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers
CB – Marshon Lattimore, New Orleans Saints; Tre’Davious White, Buffalo Bills
S – Jamal Adams, New York Jets; Marcus Williams, New Orleans Saints
Special Teams

PK – Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs

OP used all American in a very generic sense. He sure as hell didn't specify which all American team. I used a team that were drafted out of college that year, and they were clearly better than Cleveland, and, honestly probably several other teams.

The fact is that you could easily assemble a team of college players that could beat the dregs of the NFL.

There is a gigantic difference between grown men on NFL lines of scrimmage who practice for 40 hours a week and 18-21 year olds who practice for 20 hours a week.

As bad as the 2017 Browns were, they were a top ten run defense in the NFL. Yet you expect me to believe they would get dominated by a college All-American offense? The 2017 Browns would have skullfricked any college team in that same season because it would be an overwhelming mismatch on the lines of scrimmage.
