A bit different than you probably were asking for, but the Aubrey-Maturin books are excellent and have some very good spying and political bits. Napoleonic naval books but with espionage and politics involved. The first book, Master and Commander, had none of this though. You would have to read to the second book.
I pour vinegar down the sink at night before I go to bed and let it sit. Does pretty well. I'm guessing the actual fly poison would work better though.

People used to laugh at me when I said that they would move to promoting and accepting incest and pedophilia after they won on homosexuality. That was over a decade ago and not as many people laugh now.
My great grandmother still had an actual ice box in her house. She had a fridge by then but the ice box was still used as storage.

She's not playing the greatest warrior of Greek literature, just a regular warrior. So her inclusion went from seeming ludicrous to merely ridiculous.

while cities are where all the socialist energy is, they are the hardest place to actually implement socialism, because the money can simply leave and go somewhere else. So all the promises of free this and free that are not kept, because there is no money to pay for the free shite.
They are figuring out ways around this. Like NY, they give the city a huge bailout from the state so Mamdani can claim he did all this stuff and his budget is fine etc. I already see posts like this on the internet.

They also have a daily thread fantasizing about Trumps death. Unhinged maniacs over there.
Imagine the fit she threw when they told her she was fired.
