Every single NFL linebacker was better than Foster?

frick no, you are picking an elite RB and a first round pick.

I said every player on an NFL roster is better than almost all college players.

Few college players make it to the NFL level, why are you arguing me on this?

Give the college all stars NFL strength coaches, access to nutrition experts, and NFL coaches to teach them NFL technique. Also give them the freedom to only think about football. Let them develop for three years and they might have a chance.

Threads evolve.

We're past that and I have been clearly in a debate about the best college players and not the political all American team.

I'd be willing to bet that nobody has even brought up the All American team in the last 3 pages.

Good effort, though.

Sounds like a NFL team.

How many future first and second round picks are on Bama’s team right now? Maybe 18?

How many first and second rounders start for Buffalo?

What is the average weight and bench for the offensive and defensive lines?

Which team has the best QB? Which team has the best recievers ?

I rest my case.

College all-star games vs. the NFL Champion were played from the 1940s up until the mid-70s, if I'm not mistaken. They played 42 times, with the college boys winning 12 of them.

They used to play that Game when I was a kid.The 60's.

Not sure when the last one was,but if I remember correctly it was College All Americans vs The NFL Champion.

quote:

NFL champs vs College All Stars Chicago College All-Star Game. The Chicago Charities College All-Star Game was a preseason American football game played from 1934 to 1976 between the National Football League (NFL) champions and a team of star college seniors from the previous year. It was also known as the College All-Star Football Classic.

If we're talking about that type of college team against the worst teams in the NFL, oh sure, you put the all-american teams of 2016 and 2017 against those Cleveland Brown teams its not unreasonable to predict them winning that matchup. Hell back in 05 when the Saints were stinking the league up in the aftermath of Katrina, I actually thought the USC team then could beat them in a matchup and I would probably be proven right.

These are Pros that went through training camp and progressed as the season went on

These were the ROOKIES who would have been on that all star team. Every single one of them walked onto an NFL practice field and beat out a seasoned veteran from day one. That hypothetical team is light years better than Cleveland.

This isn't even debatable. In fact a bunch of players who weren't even good enough for that all star team walked in as starters for Cleveland that season.

Yeah despite my bitching about this topic, it has entertained me this morning. The job I had lined up for today got rained out, and I'll be damned if I haven't read every post in this thread.
