Tough out for anyone if Gabriel can stay healthy. Unfortunately the Sooners are on a crash course to rematch a Texas team with a much higher ceiling.

Texas’ ceiling is only two offensive TDs vs Oklahomas defense down their starting CB and safety. Not sure where Texas fans come up with this mythical talent gap. OU has recruited just as well.

We should have been up 17 in the 3rd quarter but we missed a wide open catch late second had to settle for a field goal and then missed a field goal mid3rd . That game could have gotten out of hand vs Texas . After all you needed a blocked punt and a fake punt to even score in the first quarter . We even missed a 4th and one mid field ….. OU left a lot to points on the field .

They already broadly misjudged how talented our team would be and our coach. I don't think their view of our "ceiling" means much, especially when they can't see their team has already hit its ceiling.

They were so cocksure about beating us that they’re taking the loss extremely poorly, and have collectively convinced themselves it was a fluke and that OU played a perfect game (never mind the many mistakes we made, never mind that our lines dominated theirs, and never mind that OU should continue to improve over the next two months).

Well if we both take care of business, we will find out. With WVU losing, we will be playing again in December if we both win out.
Not sure what happens if you let the Pokes beat you.

I like Sark and he’s moving us in the right direction.
That said, OU was more inspired than us last game, your defense was tough, and your QB’s a gamer. You exposed our defense, particularly our secondary, and we could not pressure your QB.
I’m not cocky about winning out; we could easily drop a game to, like, an inspired Texas Tech or another.
But if we do play you guys again in the Big 12 championship, and our major players are healthy, I think we’ll play better as the underdog in that grudge match game…
