He reminds me a ton of Steve Young due his athleticism, rocket arm and deadly quick release (IK Steve Young played for BYU but, like Young, he's the total package from a lefty and possibly total QB perspective)

But the comparisons to Drew Brees seem apt at this point. He has that innate ability to be aware of the entire field and make a quick decision and accurate throw for a completion to any receiver.
Daniel Jeremiah has called Tua "an upgraded Russell Wilson" which is probably the best comparison so far. Don't really see the Brees comparisons except for height. Tua is a lot more physically gifted and mobile.

He is very very good, but pump the brakes a little. I think he will end up in the conversation as one of the best, but it's his first full year. As noted, he hasn't played anyone yet other than being sprang on Georgia with no prep for him.
And don't forget the talent he is surrounded with. If you put Cam on this team, they're really unbeatable. If you put Tua in Cams 2010 team, I doubt they go undefeated imo.

Tebow was a shitty QB. He was basically Jalen that was somewhat better at passing.

I'm one of the Alabama fans that said by the middle of the season last year that Tua was the best qb on the team. Pissed off most of the other UA fans, most of whom supported Jalen Hurts.
People got pissed at you and others because y'all were giant douchebags that hijacked every single thread about the matter, and y'all could not understand that it was a more complicated situation than just Tua being more talented than Jalen. Let's get that straight.

No, it isn't. Russell Wilson Has a career NFL passer rating of 98.6. His last year at Wisconsin he had a Passer Rating of 191.8 for the season.
Saying Tua is a better version of that after 5 games is preposterous. Tua is awesome I'm going to wait at least until he plays an elite college defense on the road this season for 4 quarters before I proclaim he is an upgrade over a Pro Bowl NFL QB.

Yea, not really a good comparison. The all-time NFL completion record holder can't hold a candle to Tua in physical gifts.

Tua is a poor man's Pat Mahomes.
He will be decent in the NFL but he doesn't have cyborg arm talent like Mahomes.

Tua is like a plant that was planted in the perfect environment (I cringe as I type this...Alabama ). He has massive genetic potential and should continue to develop barring injury. Tua was also a surprise last year, nobody saw him coming. So far, he has been able to exploit all of these things and be very successful, but not great.
Great will be when everyone has had a chance to game plan for him and he still kicks arse. It's too soon to tell just yet.

A team with an elite secondary will cause them problems.

You just put up a link to statistics earlier in this thread showing MSU as the highest rated defense on Alabama's schedule. At least be consistent.
You are correct . My apologies . I forgot about State. I guess that stat may change since Kentucky just lit their asses up

I think Tua will go down as an all time great, but people will always criticize the schedule
We're playing in the SEC W you know? Then we'll have to play UGA in the SECCG. The only reason it's not better is cause we don't play Bama (except in practice of course).

Yup, you know more about evaluating talent than a guy who was a NFL scout for eight years. And people are talking about his potential and ability not his accomplishments.

I'm comparing him from a playing style standpoint. Brees is great because of his mechanics, pocket presence and ability to read defenses. Brees is not going to twirl around and throw across his body to the other side of the field like Tua. He's not going to run for 15 yards when the pocket breaks down. The two have very different playing styles. Tua has a lot similarities to a player like Wilson than he does with Brees.

I like Daniel Jeremiah a lot and I think he's generally pretty spot on, but the extent of this stuff is reaching extreme levels.

And if anyone knows Bud Light and Lynyrd Skynrd it's somebody from Cumming. This man speaks the truth.
