Our students are assholes. They can be very confrontational. No argument there.

My experience - 90+% of SEC fans are very similar - friendly, welcoming etc.
It's the small % of fans that give their school a bad rep.
.
Texas A&M is very impressive - the fans, the hospitality.
The corps marching in, the halftime show is great.
Georgia - small % of low IQ barking fans
Vandy - fans seem to not really care
Ole Miss - going next year for the first time, looking forward to it
Florida - higher % of bad fans

There's a different feel at bowl games. Most fans are happy to be at a bowl game. Due to our alliance with BIG10. We've played in Outback and Capital One bowls versus Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, etc. Neither team is playing for the National Championship and you're just glad to be on vacation with the family.

By the time the bowl game rolls around its been a month since the last game and you're in the middle of the holidays. The Big 10 fans are in the warmth of Florida. You're staying in the same hotels, riding in the elevators together, drinking at the same bars, Everybody's happy and get along great. That's my experience.

Nebraska fans are truly the classiest of the classiest..... very loyal, passionate, and truly genuine good people and really friendly.

I had the priviledge of attending an Ohio State- Michigan game many years ago when I worked in Ohio..... Let me be clear, their fans, the city of Columbes, indeed that whole state, is very, very very passionate about their team. My experience was that most fans were good natured and friendly, even though their of course were a few crazies;, like any fanbase. What really impressed me most was their tailgates, where many people offered free food, and great food at that. Overall great experience even though I was a neutral fan.

UGA fans - overly polite until they get drunk enough to start throwing things.

LSU fans - I have nothing absolutely good to say about this group.

Auburn fans - good fanbase but recent on the field performance has affected them a loy.

Aggie fans - Good group of fans with weird traditions

Texas fans - act like they are the patriots despite being down for so long

Kentucky fans - rant's hall monitor gate keeper complex ground of weirdos

Alabama fans - most insecure fan base on the planet until Saban started winning championships . it will be fun to wat h them come back down to reality

Oregon fans - dumb, drunk fans who don’t understand the game.

Cal fans - polite and smart. Not much passion for obvious reasons.

Colorado fans - bandwagon, in your face jerks.

UCLA fans- friendly and cordial; similar to sister-school Cal.

USC fans - arrogant and douchey, but not hostile.

UW fans - friendly and very loud.

Oregon State and Wazzu fans - friendly and enthusiastic.

ASU fans - garbage. Cheered when Matt was injured and had to leave the game.

Stanford fans - aloof and arrogant, kind of like USC fans, but with higher IQs.

ASU fans -

Considering all the drunks and just outright idiots by birth , I'd drop it
down to about 90-percent but agree in principle ---- not
a general difference in fans wherever.

Athens: I’ve been a few times. Barking is a thing, but it is sort of random drunks usually. Fans are enjoying success.

Tuscaloosa: need to have a better traffic plan. Fans are enjoying success.

Vanderbilt: it’s right downtown. More visitors than home fans.

Auburn: egress is easier than you would think. Last time I attended the line to get in seemed less efficient. Fans are waiting for the random great season.

Mercedes: easy Marta ride in and out. Decent concessions. I still have seccg tix.

I’ve stopped attending games so maybe things are better.

Unfortunately unless more fans start moving to Mississippi/Louisiana the traffic is going to continually suck.

I’m not going to go one by one with all of them, but my experience has generally been the same. All the fans I’ve interacted with on a personal level have all been very nice. The animosity was present generally only during the game. The stadiums were all loud. MSU was unique with those fricking cowbells. Bama was loud, but I could tell they were used to winning. UF was unique in that the fans were directly on top of us. There was ZERO space. It was one of my favorite places to visit, though. Auburn got unexpectedly rowdy. I was surprised how intimidating Jordan-Hare could be. TAMU was cool with the Aggie sway, but beyond that, it was a typical college game.

Auburn -- great on the road. PITA at home.
Florida -- their road fans are great. Very respectful. See Auburn's home fans.
Texas and aTm -- pretty decent fans all around
LSU -- surprisingly good fans on the road and at home
Georgia -- good fans but man they can put away some booze at a game.

1. Mississippi State- Unpretentious and passionate, Mississippi State fans are good humored and are one of the only non delusional fan bases in the conference.

2. Vanderbilt- There’s really not much to say about Vanderbilt fans as a) there aren’t many of them and b) they’ve had almost no success to crow about. You would probably be #1 on this list by default but the whistler bumps you down a spot.

3. Georgia- Georgia fans can be annoying but so can everyone. Compared to the other 2 big SEC East schools y’all are my best friends.

4. South Carolina- Their baseball and ladies basketball fans are completely out of their minds delusional, BUT they have supported their average to bad football program in a big way for years. That has to count for something.

5. LSU- I know how Putin must feel about the Russians as I often feel a sense of parental responsibility for these idiots. I hate to besmirch my own, but it’s an undeniable fact that there are a LOT of incredibly stupid LSU fans. That having been said, LSU fans know how to have a good time which is more than I can say for the rest of you footloose townsfolk.

6. Arkansas- A recent climber in these rankings, decades of disappointment has finally sunk in up there, and they’ve started to accept their place in the pecking order. A trip to Fayetteville these days is much less vitriolic than it used to be. Bravo, hogs.

7. Alabama- I’ve got Alabama right in the middle here as this is the 2 face of fan bases. The good side of Harvey Dent is affable, has a great understanding and appreciation for the history of college football, and generally actually went to the University of Alabama. The other half poisons trees and murders each other for not being upset enough about the loss.

8. Kentucky- Would be higher on this list if not for basketball, but they’re even worse than Bama fan in terms of making excuses for why their teams don’t succeed. Sad.

9. Auburn- Truth be told I feel a little bit bad for Auburn fans. They’ve got not one but two big brothers in Bama and Georgia, and are the smallest of the so called Big 6. They have some awful fans but they do have to live with the bad half of the Alabama fan base, which sounds miserable.

10. Florida- Kind of like LSU fans but without the fun, Florida has more idiots in their fan base pound for pound than anyone else. At least they don’t try to be something they aren’t, which is more than I can say for our next entry.

11. Ole Miss-A lot like Arkansas fans but without the chill factor that comes from getting to live in beautiful Fayetteville. Ole Miss fans are pretentiously faux classy to cover up for their consistently bad performances. Eli fell down.

12. Texas A&M- Little brother mentality, in a Starkville-esque town, on a Soviet style campus. These cultists dorks are only redeemable in that they and their programs are so pathetically soft. The ultimate can dish it out but can’t take it fan base, they lost any modicum of respect I had for them with their SECr “strike” a few years ago.

13. Tennessee- Utterly embarrassing, the mountain gumps are essentially a less violent but much more frustrated version of the bad half of the Alabama fan base. They lack any sense of self awareness and their school’s inability to get over the hump is making them more and more erratic, clinging to random and meaningless wins because they have nothing else to beat their chest about. 1998 is a LONG time ago.

Others:

Texas: lots of casuals, more like an NFL fan base.

Oklahoma: Think they are a lot classier than they are.

Washington: Fine. Unremarkable.

UCLA: Don't have fans.

Virginia Tech: Fairly nutty but inoffensive

West Virginia: Almost as bad as Tennessee

Oregon: Surprisingly douchey

LOL someone is still upset about 40-13

My impression of LSU fans that day? As I was looking around "death valley" In the third quarter watching them all leave? Losers.
