Says The SEC has gone from Intimidating to Charming.
Says Saban saw the future of NIL and got the hell out because he knew Alabama didn't have the Dollars to hang with Texas, Ohio State, Oregon..
Says NFL Executive told him Jeremiah Smith & Caleb Downs would've gone 1-2 in this years draft if they were eligible.
Worth a listen, good stuff.
Pretty cool SI cover featuring former Ole Miss RB Judkins.

Baked ham for Ohio State's repeat hopes.

That guy is the kiss of death.

Cowterd is never worth a listen.

He's just saying whatever he thinks will get him attention and listeners. If he's right about something it's purely coincidental.

Cowherd is a piece of shite who is wrong way more than he’s right.

He’s only saying this because USC is now in the Big Ten and it makes them look better.

Strong safety at #2 overall, huh?

B1G faces major lawsuit

Seems like Wisconsin isn't the only school having players sign these MOU's, looks like most of the B1G is. I can't imagine agreements like this inspire trust for recruits or their parents.

For Those Without On3

I think there has to be some regulation somewhere. I don't know if anyone has it right and figured out yet

From what they are saying, and again I am nowhere near smart enough to evaluate this crap, they are saying Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu level NFL prospect.

I don't know if that means top 3 though. I think it's more a shot at this draft than it is that he's some sure fire HOF type player

Caleb Downs would have gone third round out of highschool.

To the victor go the spoils. Luckily we all get a chance to start over today for 2025.

For sure, I just don't think that a safety has ever been drafted that high.

Cowherd is just Finebaum with a different set of graphics on the screen.

People outside the SEC have been waiting 15 years to say SEC is no longer the king of college football. The SEC had a down year, no real star players, especially at the QB and RB position.

I'll have to give it more than two years to say the balance of power has shifted. These things can be very cyclical and with the transfer portal and NIL, I doubt we'll see another 15 year run of dominance by the SEC or any conference at that. It's just how CFB is structured today. There will be a lot of mediocrity and not many, if any, dominant teams.

The new rules have leveled the playing field. But, I think the sec just hasn't adjusted yet. The majority of the talent is still located in the south. The sec also has more devoted fans. We're kind of at a point where returning to early -mid 2000s sec football style might be the next phase of CFB. Watching penn state - ND, felt like I was watching a 2007 sec game. It;s only a matter of time.

Colin Cowherd has good insight on professional sports from time to time but the last thing I want to hear him talk about is collegiate athletics. His analysis of college football in particular is usually very off.
