They’re supposed to have a lake. Probably a hick lake.

Deliverance was filmed 45 miles from Clemson in Rabun County, GA.

Baton Rouge ain’t a hick town bruh. Mizzu has more in common with Clemson geographically than Baton Rouge does. If you left your backwoods state other than to see old has been country acts at Branson you’d know that.

Pretty obvious OP has never visited Clemson or spent any time in the area.

Actually, movie scenes in Deliverance were filmed in Rabun County in Georgia & Oconee & Pickens Counties in S.C. Most of the river scenes were in the Chattooga River, with a few in the Tallulah River, Chauga River & Keowee River as it was being drowned to form Lake Jocassee.

Granted, the area surrounding Clemson is pretty backwoods, but if you're into outdoor sports & recreation - hunting, fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, etc. - it's one of the best places in the Southeast to attend college.

Those aren’t even close to Clemson. That’s like saying Thibodeaux is LSU

Yes because louisiana “the sportsman’s paradise” state doesn’t have anything outdoorsy. You guys, I swear. Copy every single thing off LSU and louisiana. How more little brother can you be? Do us all a favor and go fix that meth mascot you guys have, it’s embarrassing.

The last paragraph of OP references Upstate South Carolina in general, which includes everything north and west of the I-26 and I-385 split.

Much rather breath the clean air surrounding a Hick town than the sludge air you slugs inhale in Baton Rouge.

Keep reaching junior, you’ll find something sooner or later. Kiss your sister for me and tell her I’ll call for her later.

Nobody said Louisiana doesn’t have some of that. But the dumbass OP is making assumptions about a place he’s never even set foot in.

News flash. Literally everywhere in the USA has hicktown/backwater áreas once you get off of the interstates. I’ve driven all over, seen it in SC, Louisiana, Florida, TN, TX, NM, Cali, Washington, Iowa, Oklahoma, Utah... I’m serious literally everywhere. How do you think Wal Mart makes so much money nationwide ?

This is true. The air in Louisiana has a distinct dirty smell. Especially south of New Orleans. I was just in Belle Chasse, the ground seeps water even if hasn’t rained for days, like 4 of my shoes were ruined. Gross stuff

First of all, y'all ripped off "Death Valley" from us - that's documented fact. Second, I never said Louisiana didn't offer a lot in the way of outdoor sports. But the landscape around Clemson & the Blue Ridge Escarpment is some of the most spectacular scenery in the Southeast & a far cry from the flatness of south Louisiana.

Belton and Honea Path are about 1 hour from Clemson. Most Clemson students would never be in those towns.

Clemson is withing the 40th most populated CSA in the country. It is the same distance from downtown Greenville that UNC is from downtown Raleigh.

I've literally spent time as a Clemson student, and paid tuition to attend there.

My take is very accurate.

Which would be better, living in Seneca or Anderson?

Anderson looks like it has some great old houses.
