Link that shite and I'll gladly say I was wrong but I doubt they didn't consider who's recently played each other when making these schedules. I wish we would have got UGA it would be an epic game. Too bad y'all have to unfairly play LSU.

Tennessee has dominated Alabama before,
And then integration happened. TN had a nice little run in the mid 90's but that sliver of recent success doesn't change the fact that their glory days are long gone. We all know TN isn't coming back as a regular power, Bama just denies it to hang onto their easy win.

You didn't refute his claim. Do you believe there was a conspiracy at the SEC office to arrange the schedule so 'Bama would have an easier road to a national championship?
FWIW, during the first round of SEC expansion...
1991 - Alabama @ LSU
1992 (SEC Expansion) - Alabama @ LSU

Yea LSU fans are just conspiracy theorist whiny bitches for bringing this up and yet it's funny how all the media is writing articles this week about this very topic and you have the cfb live guys asking Miles about this very issue two days ago. But yea we are all just delusional crazy whiny bitches thats all it is.

Now post Bama's record at LSU during that time.

The SEC scheduling stupid to begin with to try to uphold traditional rivalries. As lsu fans we have no idea what a rivalry is. I think the they should do away with the cross division rival games. If you want to uphold tradition play them in a non conference game. The scheduling process right now is utterly ridiculous.

My problem with 2011. Was that Saban had a vote and Gundy didn't . What if had been reversed?
It wouldn't have mattered. Jerry Palm said that the day it was released.

Eleventeen pages in, we have two clear "theories":
#1. The SEC, in conjunction with school ADs, worked out a temporary bridge schedule with the hopes of not interrupting current annual rivalries in order to assimilate newcomers Texas A&M and Missouri.
#2. Bammers hacked the SEC Office, bribed every school's athletic department, and intimidated/bullied the entire conference into accepting a scheduling arrangement that clearly favored the Tide so it can go win national championships and frick everyone else.
Yep.
It amazes me how crazy you have to be to think Bama is part of some conspiracy to schedule games.
The fact is.....the freakin schedule was voted on by all the SEC schools. So, even if it were set up to favor Bama (which it wasn't).....YOU CANT COMPLAIN BECAUSE IT PASSED THE VOTE

LSU was horrible in 91 and 92 so I don't know how Bama playing in Baton Rouge two years in a row made their road to a national title any more difficult.
Bama didn't lose a single game in Baton Rouge between 1969 and frick you never mind.
And y'all laid down and lost to Curley in 93 so he got to hang around one more year.
All because of the REC.

LSU fans can, because I believe our AD voted against it.
Still its an easy fix but the SEC wants to preserve those 2 games a year for the sake of tradition.

The whole F------ state of Alabama is infested with a bunch of juvenile inbred rednecks who think football is the only path to joy in life. You people will stop at nothing to cheat in order to gain an unfair advantage when comes to Auburn and more so with Gump nation. Deal with that. Nick Saban fits in becuase he is a redneck hillbilly from West Virgina who stopped at nothing to stay out of a coal mine. Perfect marriage.

Seriously saying "deal with that"?
How can anyone say that to us? We done broke college football we are so good. We've made this sport boring we are so good. Yeah, deal with 3 of the last 4 national titles......damn that SUCKS

What mystical land of frolicking nitwits did you live in 2011? The BCS has one requirement to play for the championship: Be #1 or #2 after the regular season. After the regular season: Coaches' Poll had Alabama #2. Harris Poll had Alabama #2. Not part of the BCS, but even the AP Poll had Alabama #2. And in your universe, Alabama was #2 solely and only because the "entire fanbase and coach whined and whined"?
this is a moot point now but most threads on here are anyway so I'll feed the fodder. What if Bama had beaten LSU in 2011 by 3 in T-Town? Would they have played LSU again for a national title? I honestly don't believe any team except bama would've gotten another shot like that. But then again, we did go to a National title game after losing 2 reg season games 2007 so it all evens out in the end. Football can't get here fast enough

Why didn't LSU just beat Alabama last year at home?
If they simply do that, they would have been in the SECCG
what you say is true. still doesn't alter the fact that the schedule greatly favors some teams over the others.

While you raise a good point, your administration has been the one raising nine kinds of hell to keep that game on the schedule. Not because of a rivalry, but because they know for the foreseeable future its a W in conference play. I can assure you, if Butch Jones turns that program around, in two years Bama-UT wont be an annual game.
quote:
And I still say, as soon as UT turns things around the Administration in Ttown will want to do away with permanent opponents.
I really hope you don't believe what you're saying. The Third Saturday in October has been the most meaningful game of the season for the majority of Tennessee fans and, although LSU and Auburn fans may not want to admit it, a significant number of Alabama fans for about eighty years. It was important before LSU mattered and will still be important when LSU is irrelevant. I honestly don't expect fans of other teams to care about the rivalry, but whether other fans care about the game or not is completely irrelevant to both fanbases.

If it matters that much play the game out of conference when the two teams are not on the schedule. Point is 2 games are screwing with the schedule for the entire league. The rest of the "traditional" rivals are made up.

The TSIO is pretty much becoming the new LSU-Tulane.
