It’s not awful by any means, but Mickey 17 may be Bong Joon Ho’s worst. It’s definitely below all his Korean movies.

As awkward as he clearly is, I wonder if just being on camera made him 10 times worse. It honestly wouldn’t shock me if he never kissed a girl before, and if he hasn’t, I imagine the thought of his first kiss being on camera made it impossible for him to go through with it.

As much as I loved the movie, I do agree this marked a change. Honestly, it felt like the vampires could have won pretty easily at that point.
It doesn’t really change how I feel about the movie, but I definitely agree that’s where it did start to feel a bit more like a typical movie in the genre.

I like the concept and the execution as far as gameplay, but the editing (and some other filming choices) can be annoying at times.
Also, I'm always advocating subs over dubs for movies/tv, but for this show, there are definitely times I prefer dubs, especially when they spend 5 minutes explaining the rules of a game I've never heard of before. :lol:
Spoilers for episode 1 and 2 below:
I thought it was hilarious that in the game with corrupt cops, all the players on the team without corrupt cops basically just became corrupt cops (I'm honestly not sure if it broke the game or enhanced it). :lol:

Somehow, I was even more oblivious. I thought the premise was a couple guys made a deal with the devil to be successful musicians or something. I didn't even know it was about vampires. :lol:

It’s a picture of the Bayeux Tapestry, a famous depiction of the Norman Conquest. That particular section is of the Battle of Hastings. If you search google you will see other paintings of William, but it makes sense why the embroidery is used for the Wikipedia article.

I know others have already said this, but I feel obligated to emphasize how silly the plan to pretend to be a movie producer/director to get to Sritala’s house is. Surely Mike White could have thought of a better pretext.

44-29 (I know it's just a typo but still a big difference), we have lost every important game for months, and the team is clearly worse than it was 2 years ago. I'm not sure this is going to work out, but it doesn't feel like we are missing out on anything by not staying the course.
That said, doing it at this point in the season is odd.
