I think next weeks promo gave too much away (not that it would bother the people who are in this thread). But if I was going in blind, I don’t think I’d want to know Maekar is asking Dunk to take Egg as a squire.
The flashback went on so long, I was beginning to think they were saving the fight for the last episode.
Happy Trial of Seven day to all who celebrate.
I must say, as someone who hasn’t read the novellas but has a general idea of what happens through lore, I originally found the idea of a Targaryen prince (the heir to the throne and de facto ruler, no less) riding in to fight against his own family and body guards to be implausible and too “romantic” for the GOT world. This show has done an exceptional job of selling it. Not only can I believe Baelor would do it out of a sense of decency, I can honestly see him doing it to show the masses that Targaryens aren’t all inbreeding douchebags.

I’m really looking forward to the conversation between Dunk and Maekar post fight.
Agreed.

I’m already sad thinking about what’s gonna happen. A small part of me just wants to see it retconned.

I’m very curious of the circumstances. Did Egg go mad or was it truly an accident? Did he use wildfire?

As far as I know it’s not actually confirmed, but that seems to be a popular theory. I’m not sure we’ll ever get an answer.
I know this is based on speculation, but it’s sad to think of this sweet kid growing up and burning his entire family in a deluded attempt to hatch dragons.
Sorry if this has already been said, but does anybody know what time the episode tomorrow is?

So this question isnt for me because I knew the spoilers and was looking for little hints the whole time. These are the ones off the top of my head I could remember: - He was knowledgeable about a ridiculous amount of knights and families (knowing that the one kings guard came from an uber wealthy crabbing family) and how tournaments work. - Egg said he was from King’s Landing, Dunk just assumed it was flea bottom. - He called the Lords “lapdogs” to Duncan, so he obviously knows his social hierarchy. - He tucked tail and ran anytime another Targ showed up (getting off Dunk’s shoulders during the first night of the tourney, telling Dunk he wanted to go back to their camp when he saw them riding across the bridge) because he didn’t want to get caught. - Not giving a shite that Dunk tossed him a coin in episode 1 because obviously he’s rich.

Also him flipping out about the fortune teller’s prophecy and all the references to Maekar’s sons being missing.
So for those who didn’t know any spoilers, was the reveal a surprise, or was it telegraphed too much based on things discussed in the show?

I know the job wasn’t that appealing, but this still feels pretty mediocre.
If you’re gonna hire a retread, let’s at least find one who can help with Ward.

What makes you say that?

I don’t think he’s remotely ready for a job this big.

Hope I’m wrong.
It’s gonna be so deflating if after all this Georgia gets another title.
I really hope they aren't going to imply his audio tapes are going to be enough to learn English in a few days.

I actually really enjoyed watching Manousos. I do think it's fair to question if this really had the plot for 9 episodes, but I've never been bored.

We tasked him with fixing our country, not trolling for attention.

Then we chose the wrong person.
Are we required to have a European team here?
