I thought it was meh and borderline blasphemous if you really wanted to make it into that honestly. Pretty easy parallel to Jesus giving up his life for the world and them refusing to do so.

Speaking of...? HOW did Denham Springs #4 jump # 5 Central?? Central Won @ Denham Springs 34 - 28 .....great back n forth game!

It’s math…
quote:

Don’t sleep on Denham Springs. They’re riding a 6 game win streak, and the offense has put up 41, 63, 42, 51, 62, and 54 points in those six. An average of 52 ppg. And 4 of those 6 are playoff teams

You see them beating Zachary, Central, and Ruston to get to the Dome? Any of those 6 teams in the same stratosphere as any of those 3?
[quote]Ruston has a cakewalk to the Dome…[/quote

As well they should. They earned the #1 seed. Central and Zachary in the semis aren’t guaranteed wins.
I’ll pray for him. Kid is electric and only a sophomore.

Does West Monroe play defense? Damn that’s alot of points Ruston scored.

Powell had a huge night. Punt return, kick return, and 2 more rushing touchdowns. They scored on a Philly Special too. Their other scores were 1 who is their speed WR running go routes and Ahmad winning a jump ball.
End of the game was something I’ve never seen before. We get a first down. Go to clock it. Clock it successfully. Clock stops. Ref says it doesn’t count because the chains weren’t set. Rolls the clock. Our kids don’t have a clue as we are screaming to clock it. Mass confusion. Last play is a cluster. Ball game.

Not saying it cost us the game. Just explaining what happened. The kids still didnt understand what happened when I told them on the bus.

well we know all the other contenders can't

After playing and beating both, honestly I think ASH is a tad bit better than Catholic this year. Athletically ASH is just so fast EVERYWHERE. Bachman is a heckuva coach. Not that Catholic is devoid of talent in any way. There's just a big speed difference between the two.

Not if Neville beats ASH.

I mean in his scenario both are 4-1, Neville would win the tie breaker.
NS D1 1-11 are separated by a point…it’s going to be so close in who has a bye/ home field throughout and those flirting with not even hosting a single game. Crazy close.

Exactly.

Refs weren't gambling when he was winning

You mean like the blatant pick play he ran to win the Natty?
Ash is the better team, but I will give Ouachita and their staff props. They don’t lay down, they play the entire game. That wasn’t the case at Ouachita for a long time. ASH is still head and shoulders better imo. Ouachita’s speed can strike at any time from anywhere.

He is athletic but I don't think i would consider him a dual threat.

Looked pretty good here.
He does stretch for the endzone, but seemed to go backwards to me on the hit. I don't think he made it. Helluva effort by all 3 players.

Wish we had a goalline view.

No need. The guy that hit him is out of the endzone.

LCA 24 Evangel 22 Final

Can’t just put this. Cmon man.

Pop gets popped at the 6 inch line going for the winning score with 28 seconds left in the game. Fumbles into the endzone and LCA recovers to win. Brutal way to lose.

What kind of area is this in Monroe?

It’s literally a block from the police department. It’s where the cancer institute as well as the only pediatric neurologist in a 100 mile radius. Unfortunately it’s also where the Salvation Army is located as well as the bus depot.

The kicking game be it scrimmage or free kicks are so few plays in a game yet so much craziness can happen on any given kick and odds of getting some of it right because you almost never see it happen and a season can turn on it.

Lost a game once because the punt was so pitiful it didn’t make it to the line of scrimmage. We scream PETER as everyone does. They pick it up and run in 70 yards for a touchdown. Since the ball never crossed the LOS, the kicking team was allowed to pick it up without us touching it. How often does that come up?
How is that in relation to previous years?
