I think this schedule benefits LSU. This team always seems to play up and down to it's competition.
Well put. I hadn't thought of that. It's like a controlled chaos when we are actually excited to play.

Well, my diploma has The University of Alabama written on it, so I feel like I can use "we" when referring to my schools team. But way to deflect to an off topic subject.

Gump not so deftly sidestepping thread topic.

Why didn't LSU just beat Alabama last year at home? If they simply do that, they would have been in the SECCG and probably would have won the BCSNC. Blame should fall squarely on you choke artist defense not some scheduling conspiracy. Pathetic is what tiger fans have become since they've been processed.
How much would that have helped? We DID beat you at your place the year before and if I recall, your entire fanbase and coach whined and whined until you got your way and were able to play us again. I'm not one to bitch about scheduling but when you say that we're pathetic and you can't frickin see what's happening because of your bammer blinders then it's most likely you that are the pathetic one. I bet you were the kid crying after that overtime FG we hit against you in 2011.

I really don't understand why people say:
"Just win the games and it will take care of itself."
It is much easier to "win the games" when you don't have the meatgrinder schedule. Not only does it wear the players down physically but also mentally.
Alabama will have a better chance at beating LSU because they won't have to get up for as many games to beat quality opponents and the starters will be rested.
It does make a difference.

First off LSU DOESNT play two more tough games than Bama every year. Schedules change, teams have ups and downs and etc. So this notion that LSU always plays a tougher schedule is asinine and reeks of whining.
We are not talking about schedules that are made years in advance without prior knowledge which teams will be up or down. We get that.
We are talking about the bridge schedules for last season and the upcoming season when the schedule maker KNOWS which teams will be up or down.
Last year, everyone knew that South Carolina would be good and Missouri not. So the schedule maker for last year's bridge schedule put South Carolina on the LSU schedule and Missouri on the Bama schedule.
Everyone knows Georgia will very good next year and Kentucky will suck. So again, the schedule maker puts Georgia on the LSU schedule and Kentucky on the Bama schedule.
It has nothing to do with rotation, etc. The bridge schedules are "stand alone" that are made prior to the next season.

I think it is great when teams play a tough schedule and are proud of it or use it as an argument to claim a higher rank than teams with the same record on a weaker schedule.
However, I can't stand the whining about things note being fair. So fricking childish.

yea ,like when LSU beat bama at bama went undeafeaded, and still had to play an extra game (seccg) and bama still got another shot at LSU. Now this joke of scheduling. Its obvious, its ridiculous.

What mystical land of frolicking nitwits did you live in 2011?
The BCS has one requirement to play for the championship: Be #1 or #2 after the regular season.
After the regular season:
Coaches' Poll had Alabama #2.
Harris Poll had Alabama #2.
Not part of the BCS, but even the AP Poll had Alabama #2.
And in your universe, Alabama was #2 solely and only because the "entire fanbase and coach whined and whined"?

Eleventeen pages in, we have two clear "theories":
#1. The SEC, in conjunction with school ADs, worked out a temporary bridge schedule with the hopes of not interrupting current annual rivalries in order to assimilate newcomers Texas A&M and Missouri.
#2. Bammers hacked the SEC Office, bribed every school's athletic department, and intimidated/bullied the entire conference into accepting a scheduling arrangement that clearly favored the Tide so it can go win national championships and frick everyone else.

Dumb dumb USC had just rotated off vs Bama;played in 09/10: they(USC) were scheduled to go to LSU. 12/13 uGa vs BAMA series was cancelled when Mizz got added.these bridges are 1 year plays. LSU vs UGa was scheduled to rotate back on in 13 as is Bama vs UK. These may be a year series or they could have a return trip in 14. We will know when next years schedule is released. They may do away with the back to back series and rotate each year a new cross divisional team.
There was no conspiracy to give LSu the shaft and help Bama. That's crazy talk.

My problem with 2011. Was that Saban had a vote and Gundy didn't . What if had been reversed? Remember it was the closet margin between 2 & 3 in BCS history. .00086 pts

Are you fricking serious? You either the dumbest POS in the world or trolling.
Any idiot can see that the bridge schedule fricked LSU and helped BAMA tremendously. Quit fricking lying.

of whining and making excuses
Its like reading child's responses. It is not a tough concept to know that an arbitrary schedule put much tougher teams on the LSU schedule.
I get it, y'all won. But it has zero to fricking to do with two goddamn years ago. It has to do with next year, and only a sack of retarded houndstooth cat shite can't just admit it. I could give a shite less. I just don't want to have to listen to the yards.
And save me the win every game or the whining bullshite. You bastards have failed to win every game. And the whining displayed two years ago was heard in Kenya. Starving children would've given up their bread to get the insufferable whining coming from the Bama shithole to stop.

Those black helicopters aren't real and There is no conspiracy. Please take the tinfoil off your head as it's seriously making you paranoid.
Is LSU's scheduled east opponent better than BAMA's, yes but it's also better than most of the rest as well.
Why is it only BAMA's schedule y'all are bitching about? It will give y'all a built in excuse when y'all lose to Bama again for the 3rd straight game and 5 of the last 7. We had to play a harder schedule, wah, that's why Bama beat us again. Pass the tissues you bunch of pussies. LOL
Also for the other dumbass these bridge schedules aren't just random/abritrary either. they follow previous years and future rotations. Dumb Dumbs

LSU had to beat three very good teams to have a shot at the SECCG or BCSNCG. Bama had to beat one.

Per SEC office they have nothing to do with past or future scheduling, hence the term "bridge"
