Tigers cannot hit consistently for shite. Vols we’re gonna break through eventually. Still don’t think this team can make a big run in the postseason. BP walks too many hitters and bats are not consistent
LSU/Tennessee has become a sneaky good baseball rivalry for some reason. Think both teams were jawing a bit throughout the game and tigers came out on top last night. I don’t have any issue with the slow walk on a walk off at home. He might get some chin music today which is understandable but he’s a big kid and can handle it. Great game. Pissed I fell asleep. I was trying to hang in there but lost the battle. Made it to the 8th and woke up with the screen saying my event had ended. These two teams are insanely close in many stats in the conference. Here’s to some more drama.

Every time ive been to that festival seems like it was a bunch of homeless looking people for the most part

It’s a pretty decent crowd during the day if the weather is good. We usually do the Saturday with the kids and head home around 7-8. We have full access wristbands plus parking through my wife’s (no pics) work so that makes it more fun and easy. Crowd definitely changes at night and the music is average for the most part. I can only tolerate about a day of it though. Our good friends go for the entire festival which just doesn’t appeal to me at all.

His at bats are very good. Always seems comfortable. Huge plus coming out of the 9 hole

re: I’d be so sick if I was Kade

Kade gives up a lot of HRs. Blake money vibes. When he misses, it’s grooved badly.
The hitting against an average pitching staff was abysmal. How many shitty pop ups did we hit? Not sure what the approach was but it clearly did not work.

They can’t hit decent arms is what I’ve taken out of it so far. Lots of ball to be played.

The amount of hate this guy gets on here is hilarious

It really is perplexing. The guy is obviously talented and provides enough content to keep me interested on my ride home from work everyday. I don’t agree with everything he says and some of his bits are kind of rock jock radio, but he’s objectively better than a ton of mid market sports shows. The rant hates basically all analysts and announcers though, so nothing new.

He’s got a good bit of generosity from the ump this last inning. Particularly Frey. He’s been pretty damn good otherwise though. Hitters look lost much of the time.

He threw 3 balls and got two strike calls on them. Strike 3 was clearly off the plate.

Stop doing it. I don’t care what the analytics say. It always seems to frick us.

re: Lineup is getting taken

Auburn hit 2 balls well. 3rd base can’t make that error. Not convinced we can hit against any decent arm. Dutton is not a great pitcher. Hitters have looked foolish so far. We’ve had the benefit of going against not great hitting or pitching teams so far in conference play outside of Texas and we saw how that went. Anderson has to be damn near perfect on fridays.

re: Texas Sweeps Georgia!

Was bound to happen with Georgia. Their bats were gonna eventually cool off for at least a series and they walk a ton of hitters. Texas is solid in all aspects. Won’t blow you away, but very good everywhere. Putting together a pretty impressive first SEC season so far. Arkansas kicking some serious arse at the moment too. Gonna be a wild ride going into may.
What’s the name of the documentary? I wanted to do re-watch recently and couldn’t find it. That DA was a huge piece of shite.
Baseball is a funny game. One offs don’t really move the needle for me. Aggie has plenty of hitters and eventually they were gonna put a game together. Tennessee has looked very good this year overall. Along with Arkansas and Texas. The ball flies out of georgias park too and I think their dimensions are pretty standard. There’s some very good teams in the conference this year that can get hot and really make some noise.
There always seems to be one last push from winter in early April every year. It’s gonna be cool in south Louisiana this Sunday-Tuesday. Should be seeing some warmer baseball series after this weekend. Weather looks perfect down here for the whole week.

Perhaps that’s been the goal all along - just like moving up the kickoff and touchbacks to the 25 to minimize returns. Now they’re nonexistent and the frog has been boiled This post was edited on 3/30/25 at 2:28 pm

I think there were more kickoff returns this past year than the previous few. And more big returns of over 40 yards. Could be thinking of something else though.
I don’t think our clinic even offers them anymore. Been like that for a couple years too.
