The OP is basing this off Smith's last year performance as compared to Chase who opted out.

Pitts is a far bigger matchup problem than either Chase or Smith and will likely be drafted before either.
Meh, he's not nearly as quick as either Chase or Smith. He's a matchup problem because of the position he played in college. Most college DBs weren't big enough and LB's not fast enough to guard him. He'll still present matchup problems in the NFl, for sure, but not to the unfair levels he did in college.

"Likely" is a strong word here. "Might" be drafted higher would be more approriate

There's a reason he's constantly being referred to as a "unicorn."

Not really, nearly every mock draft has him going ahead of both.

The NFL is different than college. Size and measurables matter more in the NFL than they do in college. Are they everything? No. Of course not, but they do matter.
Josh Reynolds led the SEC in receiving yards and in touchdowns in 2016. He did it in the best league in college football. All the measurables you'd want. He's still under 200 lbs, and that matters more than it did in the college. The guy has been a backup receiver for the Rams his entire career.
But it's splitting hairs. You're talking about two receivers that are going in the first round. Some people say Harris is better Chase, others say the opposite. Who cares.

there are usually multiple players referred to as "unicorns" or "generational talents" (or something along those lines) in every single recruitng class and every single draft class. Those types of descriptions of players have been used so much that they've compeltely lost their meaning.

I agree but a player like Pitts actually is a special talent, we haven't seen a tight end like this in quite some time and may not again if Arik Gilbert doesn't straighten up his act.

He is a big reciever. He is not going to block. He will present matchup problems. Chase and Smith will present matchup problems as well. A lot of TE's have presented matchup problems, doesn't mean he will be as productive as Chase or Smith. It's pretty much a given he will be drafted before either Smith or Chase but I just don't see it. Chase and Smith are both way more explosive players. What I'm interested in seeing is if Waddle actually goes before Smith, which I have seen projected in a lot of mock drafts lately.

It's bc chase is big strong fast and physical. Smith is just fast. Chase has just as good of hands as smith does and is a legit #1 we in the nfl. You can't say that for smith with his size being so small. He will get knocked off his route and jammed up at the line by good cbs in the nfl. Chase is definitely the better choice of the 2. Smith will go right after him though lol.

Most people agree that Chase is better than Jefferson, and Jefferson just had a record setting rookie season for a mid tier team. Imagine what Chase will do you coward arse bitch.

Crime? No.
Definitely could cost someone their job, probably more than one person.

Vernon Davis was supposed to be a unicorn TE, to fast for LB's and to big for safetys to cover, as well at 6'3" 250 lbs. with a 4.4 40.
Jimmy Grahamn was considered like a "unicorn" for a while as well.

You must have missed Chases’ pro day. He jumped higher than anyone else’s pro day Kid is a freak athlete and he proved it on the field.

Don't think I've see a mock within the last few days that had Pitts below either

Do you really think an NFL team will revamp it's offense to fit a WR? Sure, they will do it for a QB, but a WR? And Sark is at Texas. He won't be in the NFL calling the plays for whatever team drafts Smith. There are a lot of coordinators that are still stuck in their own ways and philosophies.
Again, watch the NFL more.
Smith averaged 10 touches a game in 2020 compared to Chase's 5.6 in 2019 (right in line with a traditional, NFL Wideout1).
Smith is going to have a lot more consistent production and his skillset has much more breadth to scheme with. If I'm an NFL team, I want that in spades - it's the analog of OBP in baseball.

While this is true, Waddle being hurt all year brought his touches per game up significantly. Chase had to compete for touches with world-class wr, Jefferson.

Chase doesn't have the Chest for the NFL
