He’s going to get roasted if DeVonta out performs him. I guess that’s a better way to say it. DeVonta has a chance to finally put the size argument to bed if he comes into the league and tears it up.

Why? Players outperform other players all the time.

Seems like Justin Jefferson outperformed both Ruggs and Jeudy last season.

I have watched the NFL lately. Those behidn the line of scrimmage passes work far better in college than they do in the NFL. Instead of having Alex Leatherwood seal the edge like he did at Alabama and Devonta being able to just run free, Khalil Mack and TJ Watt will blow those plays up.

Not saying they never work, but it's much easier to run those plays against an 18 year old pass rusher than against a 6'4 250 pound 27 year old who runs a 4.5

JJ had more catches, yards, and TD than Jeudy and Ruggs combined

Yes, but neither of those guys won the heisman as a WR then got selected after a quitter.

Again, you don't seem to understand that the NFL doesn't care if players skip college games.

I know they don’t care. Once again, if Smith proves himself in the pros then he will get what he deserves.

If Chase gets outperformed by a 166 lb dude, he will get roasted, especially after the NFL decided he was better strictly based on size.

These are facts. No one roasted Jeudy and Ruggs, because a lot of people actually said they were overrated due to having Tua as a QB.

With Smitty, most people are calling Mac overrated so what does that say about Smitty? Without Waddle he still dominated.

You have two players that seem identical. Both have near equal speed, hands, route running, etc

Except one is 40 lbs heavier. Why would you not take that player?

I would take Chase over Smith, it's close though, but what is blowing my mind is seeing so many mock drafts with Waddle going before Smith. I just don't get that one at all.

The problem with a lot of LSU fans here, is that they contradict themselves.

Jeudy and Ruggs were overrated because of Tua, yet Smitty isn’t as good as Chase even though Mac is overrated.

They can’t both be overrated because Mac set the completion percentage record, and Smitty won a Heisman. Which one is it?

If either performs, either will "get what they deserve."

If either don't perform, either will be "roasted."

Because the other one set SEC records and won a Heisman, next question.

DeVonta deserves to be the higher pick based on resume. He will get paid less as a 7-11 pick versus the number 3-5 pick.

Chase doesn’t deserve the higher pick because his body is bigger. Smitty put in the work.

Smith didnt perform any better than Chase did in college. You have two equal players with one being 40lbs bigger

Its not really confusing why the heavier player is going to go first

I guess if you prefer quitters, draft Chase.

Smitty outperformed him by a whole Heisman and multiple other awards.

Whatever team picks up Chase with Smith still sitting tonight- just be sure to send them an angry letter, Karen.

Some frickin' people here.

Did you not watch how Sark uses him at the LOS?

Do you really think an NFL team will revamp it's offense to fit a WR? Sure, they will do it for a QB, but a WR? And Sark is at Texas. He won't be in the NFL calling the plays for whatever team drafts Smith. There are a lot of coordinators that are still stuck in their own ways and philosophies.
