He’ll have less passing yards than ewers for sure. Ewers three for 7,000 yards in his last two years. Arch won’t hit those marks even with more talent. But mediocre QB’s with good players around them typically end up as a stud

Haven't watched enough to make the call...

Was impressed with his speed and running ability from what I have seen so far...

Not enough options. I don’t think he’ll be either of these but somewhere in the game manager range.

He hasn't played enough to say either way.

His Wretched Excess hype is strictly due to his last name!

I lean to stud but TX doesn't have much room for error if they lose @ Ohio State. They would likely need to go 7-1 in SEC play to make the playoff as 6-2 wouldn't get it done unless they had a tiebreaker to make the SECCG and they won that. Their schedule isn't hard enough for 9-3 to possibly get you in.

He will be good, but not great. Like Quinn Ewers type numbers. Won’t meet the media hype stats.

What does he run about a 4.6? That is fast enough to burn defenses bad not expecting it. If SEC teams don't play reckless on defense they should be able to keep it in check some though.

We have already seen he is really good at the Colt McCoy, fake like you are going to pass then take off running when the WR pull the defense down the field….that will work for a while… then when teams wise up to that play we may get to see his passing ability and decision making….

TBH he may be good, but the question is why was he held off the field for so long. The fact that he has been a BU for years makes you question his ability and his desire…..just saying the obvious….

We'll never find out what he is in that offense. It doesn't require a QB to make NFL throws. Very similar to the situation to Tennessee's offense.

Offense won’t look the same. Last year defenses knew Ewers couldn’t throw deep or run. Manning can do both which should help open up the run. Getting our best tailback back from injury (Baxter who tore up his knee in camp last August and missed entire season) should also help the run game.

Question for me is OL. But last year’s OL was extremely overrated so maybe it’ll be an addition by subtraction thing.

If only we could vote for the vast middle area between dud and stud where most quarterbacks live.

His fate is directly tied to an inexperienced OL. So up and down until November. Blossoms into a stud by end of year barring OL injuries.

Edit: Texas. How in the GDH! do you recruit a Manning without an absolute elite SEC offensive line?

Neither. Definite won’t say dud. The kid has talent. I think he will be very good but not sure he will reach stud level.

Funny thing is going to be the ride..

Can he handle it…

Bc there’s no question the kid is ultra talented and has the leader qualities needed for qb1

But he has been ordained as “the next coming”…

And he will struggle at times like all of the best did too…

Reading this forum is going to be a HILARIOUS roller coaster

Stud in 2026.

2025 will be a mixed bag of brilliance, flops and some average play too. That said, Texas is good enough to make the playoff with an average QB.

We’ve got plenty of blue chips. Lost some to the NFL, so it’s time for some new baws on the OL to step up.
