I love these threads. They are up there with the election melts. You guys are whining because NIL and the portal have balanced out the players which leads to less elite teams and more losses.
This is what college football should have looked like the last 50 years if the NCAA had done their job and actually enforced their own rules and punished teams who bought players. Instead of allowing a tiered system where 15 programs were allowed to cheat all along and artificially win games.
You can go to any small town in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, etc and everyone knows what the local high school star got under the table because it’s what happens in small towns. Everyone knows what Herschel got. I’m in a town that had the #1 over all recruit a few years back and everyone here knows what he got because the family openly brags about it,
It’s gonna be fun watching 2-3 loss conference champs in the future as it should have been all along.

Consolidation of the conferences has been the worst. Who ever heard of 18 & 16 team conferences?
Go back to 6 12 team conferences & let the top 16 teams in the CFP.

ESPN and the playoff committee. At least they used to hide their bias somewhat but now you see it in announcers and refs as well as them. But hey, at least Trump won! We all need to count our blessings I guess.

You’re correct. And what’s great is you’re a Tennessee fan and you’re actually going to make the playoff. I appreciate your honest opinion even though this new set up has actually helped you out a little bit.
