Thought this was interesting… discuss

-Oregon wins out, beats Washington in PAC 12 title game
-Texas wins out, wins Big 12
-Alabama wins out, wins SEC
-Florida St undefeated, wins ACC
-Ohio St wins out, wins Little 10

My 4
1) Ohio St
2) Florida St
3) Oregon
4) Texas

Basically would come down to does Alabama deserve a spot above Oregon or Texas? Texas no because they lost H2H. Oregon and Bama would have similar resumes

Texas is trash. I doubt they win out. Georgia gets their spot after a close SECCG.

Try to stay on topic of the scenario exactly like it is

Alabama would get in over Oregon.

Which would render the committee as virtually worthless. As it stands now they have Oregon ranked 2 spots above Alabama

And Alabama doesn't currently have a win against Georgia on their resume.

You think they are keeping a 12-1 Alabama out after they end Georgia's 30 game winning streak?

It’s possible

You’d then be punishing Oregon for winning their conference and beating the undefeated conference champ

Texas doesn’t deserve a spot. The B12 is complete garbage

What happens if Washington wins out and everything else stays the same in your scenario? Undefeated Ohio State, Washington and Florida State and a one loss Texas, Bama and Georgia.

In no universe is a 1-loss SEC champ getting left out of the CFP. Bama would be in, and rightfully so.

In the universe where the 1-loss SEC champ is competing for the 4th spot with the 1-loss Big 12 champ -- who went to Tuscaloosa and won by 10 -- Alabama gets left out.

In your scenario, Bama would have a better win than anyone in college football. Bama gets in

I’ll give you a pass because your aren’t in the SEC yet, but you will soon learn what the rest of us have learned the hard way. Bama gets what it wants.

I’m my opinion that’s the only scenario where the SEC gets left out

That's a no-brainer. Undefeated FL ST and OH ST are in. Oregon redeems it's only loss to an undefeated WASH so they're in.
It comes down to either TX or AL as the 4th, and head-to-head is the number one consideration in any tie-breaker on the planet.

My 4
1) Ohio St
2) Florida St
3) Oregon
4) Texas
Agree this would be the 4.

If Bama beats undefeated UGA Bama would get in over Oregon.
Still a lot of ball to be played. OSU and Mich, the Iron Bowl, Oregon St is not a gimme for Oregon, Texas is struggling right now. Conference title games coming. Just don't see all above holding serve.

You wouldn’t.. Oregon would have avenged its road loss with a Conf Title. They would get in.

In this scenario, Bama would jump Oregon. Have a hard time seeing the committee telling the SEC "no thanks" if things play out like that.

1.Ohio State vs 4.Bama

2.Florida State vs 3.Texas
