Having a hard time seeing how a 2 time defending National Champion will drop all the way to #5 with a close loss. Its certainly something to keep an eye on especially if other teams lose.

Would get throttled by Georgia or Alabama.

If you would have said that at any point before mid-October, sure, I could agree.

Nothing since then indicates that to be true.

The only consistency in final voting is that a P5 champ gets in over a P5 non-champ when W-L records are equal.

“SEC bias” if that happened. They can’t put both Alabama and Georgia in, even if deserved

They've done this twice already

And the B1G last year, but it depends on how many Ls are in the column amongst the P5 champs.

the whole country can see it , Georgia and Bama just aren’t that good this year. Michigan and Ohio State are #1 and #3

Georgia ranks top ten in both offense and defense, the only program that can claim this.

In the universe where the 1-loss SEC champ is competing for the 4th spot with the 1-loss Big 12 champ -- who went to Tuscaloosa and won by 10 -- Alabama gets left out.

Maybe but if Texas keeps struggling against bad teams Im not so sure

beating the undefeated conference champ

A team they already lost once to as well. So I doubt Oregon gets much credit for beating them not to mention Washington if they go undefeated and they meet again will be sitting at #4 with Oregon at #5. Oregon would maybe go up 1 spot vs an Alabama team that in this scenario just beat the #1 team in the country.

Both Bama and UGA have looked every bit as good or better the second half of the season.

Have you bothered to watch the games? What about UM has been impressive? It's not their schedule. Beating a PSU team with their QB situation isn't impressive. Do you think UM can depend on the rush game vs a UGA front 7 in the same way they do vs the BIG, no.

tOSU is a good team and actually has some good wins. I'd give you them, but UM remains a ?? Until they do something.

Bama has already exceeded my expectations this year given what we saw at the start.

There just aren't any dominant teams this year that you look at and say, "no one is beating them."

uM is the most perpetually overinflated football program if all time.

Lol I guess they should've not lost by double digits to us at home then.

you SEC bootlickers are hilarious. The only thing you hate more than Alabama is Texas and we're not even in the conference yet.

Did either of them find a QB yet? McCord has been garbage all year, and the Mich QB didn't even attempt a pass the entire 2nd half at Penn St. One dimensional teams ain't gonna compete with Bama/UGA

If Bama and Texas played now, who would you bet on?
