It’s clearly a mix of both.
He has not embraced NIL and the portal and his coaching style and philosophy is not resonating with these current players.
At this point I just hope he saves face, be proud of what you accomplished there, take a handsome payout and ride off into the sunset.

Doesn't help that he hired an OC who hasn't run a competent offense in over a decade and was so bad he couldn't even get a job in college football, at any level or any position, last year. His last college football job was as an analyst at Texas State

Dabo's run from about 2015 through 2020 was a perfect storm of elite college QBs and coordinators. You dont just reload those kinds of players and coaches once they leave, unless you're nick saban.

Dabo apparently had a couple of really good coordinators. Once they left, he ended up being just a really shitty coach.
