So prerequisite for belonging means you have to win it. Gotcha. Sucks beating both your rivals and watching both of them go where Auburn only dreams. It's like 2004 all over again.

For a Georgia grad/fan you sure do have a hard on against all things Alabama. When you aren't melting over the school itself you're melting over the football or basketball teams.

Not that it matters but I will point out that Bama was also ranked number 4 in the Coaches Poll, the AP poll, and the old BCS rankings. So anyway you slice it they are number 4. I also believe that no matter what they try to do the comittee sub consciously or otherwise, thinks of things like, Bama Clemson has been a much better match up than OSU Clemson. I also think they ask the question who would win between Bama and Wisconsin, OSU, USC if they played and it was most likely close to unanimous that Bama would win all 3 match ups.

or they watch games and ....I know this sounds crazy but , they think and make a determination of teams.

it's passionate no doubt but a bit overkill. If Alabama wouldn't have gotten in Id be disappointed. No way in hell id spend a fraction of the time and effort that you have. So congrats i guess on caring so much .

Nope. If Bama beat AU, AU is out of it. I don't see a 3 loss team ever making the playoff. Bama loses to UGA, they would have been out and the winner of the OSU/Wisky game would have been the 4th.
