Saban out of all college football coaches is in the best position to administer that sort of harsh discipline if he wanted to.

This is where you move the goalposts or not post again here or change the subject. Anything but admit you were wrong

absolutely nothing in that article explains what other trouble he was supposedly in.

quote:

Crowell said he spoke with Georgia coach Mark Richt when he was released from jail the next day and said the two came to a mutual agreement that he would leave the team and continue his career elsewhere.

1 day after release, he was booted. Which is what I said.

quote:

He admitted it wasn't the only incident he was involved in at Georiga, a factor which contributed to him transferring. Crowell said he "brought it on myself" in reference to the criticism he's received and character questions he constantly has to answer from both media and teams interested in his services.

this is the only vague sentence you're holding on to, with no detail attached to it. He did fail a drug test, but I mean everyone in college is smoking. He was also suspended for that.

So basically your point is that cam parked in a park with weed and a gun and isn't going to miss any time, and that's completely different than a sober crowell driving with a gun and being dismissed, simply due to the fact that he had a marijuana incident previously.

The basics here are the same. Both players had an issue with weed. Both had a gun in their car. One was dismissed the next day, one isn't even going to miss a snap.

A small voice in your head probably said, "If you say this, you'll come across as a jackass."

This same voice probably told you, on several occasions, "You're not as witty as you think you are."

Think of the children. Listen to your inner voice.

Hopefully their community service will be to clean up the closed public park they were arrested in
Community service will be in Northport, Alabama, riding along with the Northport police, as stated in the 2 documents I posted in another thread.

.But do wonder if the Monroe police confiscated the stolen gun or was it returned due to..."insufficient evidence"?

Gun was confiscated and was on the way back to Alabama, due the the stolen gun case in Baldwin County. In fact, the officials are saying that Cam and Hootie are still part of the open investigation there.

Bama players are not off the hook.

When you have access to the one of the best training facilities in the country and are a potential top 5 pick in next year's draft, I imagine it sucks a little.

"Suspended" from what?

From your link:

"Alabama has not said if Robinson or Jones will miss any games."

Literally lol'd at people suggesting a 3 game suspension for a thumbnail of weed and a firearm legally purchased.

This is America gtfo and go back to Korea if you hate the 2nd amendment so much

Crowell had been a knucklehead in the doghouse from day 1. Completely different situation.

The two "Bama" players were in a car with two other men and that stolen gun is now the "smoking gun" in this case. The gun was stolen in Baldwin county and the Sheriff says one of the two players knows who stole the gun.

It looks like the two Alabama football players will go back to school and we may see them again on the playing field. "There were four people in the car, and it may have been under the drivers passengers seat, I can't prove who put it there, " said Ouachita Parish D.A. Jerry Jones. District Attorney Jerry Jones is talking about a stolen gun found in the same car the players were in the night of their arrest.

"One of the defendants in the vehicle did make a statement to the law enforcement over there regarding how long that person had been in possession of that weapon and who they got that weapon from, " said Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Mack Jr. The sheriff says the defendant that made that statement was either Cam Robinson or Laurence Jones. The investigation into the stolen gun in Baldwin County is not over.

"So that's part of our case we will continue in the investigation into that and we will continue to see if we bring forth any charges down the road as it relates to the original case," said Mack.

Saban is very much a disciplinarian....You don't have to like Saban or Bama to acknowledge that truth.

In the past (so, I can in no way verify if this is still true) saban would openly tell players to stay inside and smoke weed instead of drinking and driving.
