This supplemental draft you speak of. Was he secretly told that he would be drafted if he would enter the draft? I honestly don't know how this works.
My understanding is he has to apply for the supplemental draft. The NFL could tell him to kick rocks. I don't know of anyone else applying for the supplemental draft this year.

His NIL was due in full Jan 1st. Tech might be able to recoup some of it but they aren’t taking it all back. This is karma for how they treated Mike Leach.

Best possible outcome for college football but the fact that this was possible shows how broken college football is and how badly change needs to happen.

You’ve been on the wrong side of this ordeal from the beginning. Everything about this was wrong and would have been a black eye to college sports in a larger way than anything else since 2020 when the world went nuts.

I would hope a standard NIL contract would have something written in it for this very instance or you know killing somrone before the season to protect the colleges. But these are dumass adults giving out this money to begin with.
