Old Tardge, you're a delusional old man with a low IQ and a penchant for repeating adolescent narratives over and over. Nobody believes your horseshite that Texas was caught super secretly plotting to blow up the BIG XII just cuz. That's the most aggot shite I've ever read.

You realize that all of that came out in interviews with Larry Scott, commissioner of the pack 12 right? That’s when he called Deloss Dodd’s and little brother horn “dishonest and lacking in integrity “

DeLoss Dodd is indeed a shite-weasel, but nobody discovered a super-secret plot by Texas to blow up the BIG XII. That's just bullshite you're throwing at the wall to see if it will stick.

And Larry Scott was in pure predator mode chasing his grandiose scheme to create a PAC super-conference. He was outright preying on the situation, which I'm glad failed. The PAC is a mess, and nobody is happy.

My goodness your a special one

Deloss Dodd’s presented a plan to take 4 of the big 12 teams to the pac 12, deloss presented this plan to Larry Scott and told him all 4 schools were on board and even forged Bowen loftins signature on it. Nebraska caught wind and started talking to big 10, Colorado didn’t want to get left out or stuck in big 12 when they found out about the horns deal and quickly struck their own deal and joined the pac, Aggie confronted horn about the lying and the pac 12 approached Aggie and confirmed horn had been lying to them all along. From there Aggie said screethis and started exploring it’s own options, horn came up with a new plan and Mizzou caught wind and started shopping again

These are all undisputed facts documented in several books already

Are you 17?

You mention that in a passive manner as if empty stadiums every Saturday for half of your league's programs is just a nothing-burger.

No it's a problem. However, someone made the decision to add TCU back to the conference when they have had attendance problems since Kennedy was in office.

They seat 50 and drew what... 35K to 40K most of the year. Even against OSU they only managed just over 40K in a 50K seat stadium.

I'm aware of the details of the SWC history and the attendance issues (which was another television death knell) but none of that changes the fact that there was zero way the conference was going to survive as it was structured in the age of television rights.

You previous post made it sound like only Texas foresaw this and ripped the bandaid off. J U S T N O T T R U E. Like I said, they ripped the bandaid off of nothing. All they did was give Arkansas... which was every bit as premier a program as Texass was at that time... a good reason to leave. If anyone ripped a bandaid it was Arkansas. Your praise of Texass and their foresight is sadly off base my friend. Not even close to what actually transpired.

A teenager

See? Another feeble narrative created out of thin air from a low IQ old man.

You should move to china and become a public information Czar. Your ability to repeat untruths publicly, and with great confidence, is very effective on lazy-minded sheeple. Or you could just join the circus and become a carnival barker. Perhaps that is more in your wheelhouse.

I think adding OU and UT to the SEC would be great.

Nothing you post is ever factual. You're a third rate spin doctor who spins so called "facts" to make his school appear more favorable in the minds of people who don't know any better. And you really suck at it.

I do too but they weren't available so it's a moot point.

Not exactly

History is not what people always tell you it is. While Penn State moved to the B1G in 1992 or 1993 they actualy (contractually) agreed in 1989. Big schools like that are more like an aircraft carrier than a row boat in they needs lots of time and space to maneuver. It is safe to say if they invited Penn State in 1989, they were negotiating for at least a year or two earlier to allow for proper due diligence. Would not surprise me if they started informal discussions after Jo Pa won the Natty in 1986. Remember, Michigan State was not in the original Big 10 and only got as they were an IND to then started doing well with Biggie Munn. Sparty had 1 loss in 1950, then went undefeated in 51' and 52'. Next thing you know they are no longer IND but in the B1G in 53'. B1G has a habit of assimilating competition that threaten Michigan or Ohio State.

Even if Penn State was unknown from 86' to 89' it was certainly known in 89' when they accepted the B1G offer, even if it was several more years before they played their first official games. SMU got the death penalty in what 1988? Plenty of time to allow the Big 8 and SWC to form some sort of merger. They sat on their hands which opened the door for Hogs to explore the SEC. Texas (the state, not the school) thought they were better and that cost them dearly as they not only lost Arkansas but they missed the opportunity to be the first conference to 12.

quote:

The venue in Dallas is superior to freezing arse cold Arrowhead stadium.

That may be but you did not answer my question about moving it to Oklahoma City or Little Rock as a compromise. While most are quick to throw Nebraska under the bus, they had the 2nd best program behind Oklahoma, not Texas. If anybody can tell me with a straight face that Baylor was better than Arkansas then they are drinking too much of that SW KoolAid. If you can not see this then you are probably young and do not remember the old days when the NCAA had the monopoly and was not to be trusted with them doing what was best for schools in the south east, deep south, and south west. Ask you dad or grandad about watching the Sooners on TV? Do you think that Oklahoma and Georgia went to the Supreme Court for the hell of it?

Only 2 conferences in the USA did not cross the line and join the CFA. They were the B1G and PAC. No need to cross the line if you already have the monopoly.

Not sure what he is... you might be right. Sounds like a Texass fan pretending to be a Sooner. Whether Texass or Sooner just not informed at all.

It’s not deflection because the conference isn’t falling. The Big Ten Network is making a lot of cash. The conference is about to feast this bowl season, but yeah, it’s falling. The basketball in the B1G is as good as it’s been in awhile and the attendance leads the nation. LMAO the Big XII is the one falling genius. Unless you can’t read the headlines.

Just checked every tv rating for the year and it showed A@M being in front of OU three times out of 14 weeks. Bama A@M was number one that week.

OU Texas was number one the week they played.
Big 12 championship 4th highest rating all year. Sec championship was number one.
A@M was not involved in a top 10 rated game all year.
