Best thread I've seen on the Rant this season. Should be a great game.

I actually enjoy when we can talk with a decent bama fan without arguments.

No joke man, it's a breath of fresh air to actually be able to talk FOOTBALL and head to head competition without all of the juvenile bullshite thrown in the thread.

Here's to a damn good game in a week and y'all have a safe trip to town.

I just don't see the advantage for LSU. Talent is there, but with Delpit possibly playing injured. Fulton has been hurt all year. Stingley played like a freshman against Florida. Vincent seems like a liability more than an asset. I just don't see LSU with the advantage.

I think they'll pick up their game vs Bama though, don't you?

Nobody has mentioned turnovers. I think they will be critical in this game (as in most games). Whoever makes the most of those mistakes... pick 6, short field, certain points off the board...Bama leads the turnover margin category - not that it is one you can count on to show up each game.

1st and 3rd downs success … these teams are so close in most stats... it won't take many errors.

I think if LSU has success early, it will be an intense game throughout...last possession type game. I think it will be harder for LSU to overcome a big error/momentum changer in BDS.

Can't wait to watch it.

Our offense is as good or better than yours. Our defense is better, especially pass rush and the secondary. We have a punter now. Our coach isn't Ed Orgeron

I think most on this board have played some level of football. Sometimes trying to play through being hurt can be a liability to your team. LSU has amazing talent in the defensive backfield you can't deny that at all. But sometimes physically you can't do something if your hurt or injured just because you mentally want to.

= close game. Hope players are as overconfident as most of the delusional Bama fans are on here. That'll shift the needle to us all the way

You might want it to be even on some of those units but it's not. Your 3 star WRs have looked great in Joe Brady's system but they are not as good as Bama's unit. You're lying if you think so.

OL? What are you smoking? Bama's OL is much better than LSU's.

RB? I like 22. He's a really good player but you're sleeping on Najee and B Rob. My guess is you haven't even watched them play. Bama has better RBs as a unit than LSU. Period.

LOL two consensus 5 star true sophmore WRs that were both ranked top five at their position (and higher overall than both of Bama's top two WR right now) but yeah they are only good because of the system? the Other of the three is a senior who has gotten better every year he's played.

I was being truthful in my assessment you are being extremely subjective.

You are basing this on what? I'll even relent a little and say it's might be even. Hard to tell when you have played nothing by garbage defenses

CEH is better than any RB on Bama's roster right now and we got the #1 RB in the country last year. But yeah it's such a "period" because biased bama fan said so.

we have the advantage at QB, offensive line, wide receivers, think it's even at running back and defense. Also, I think Alabama knows how to prepare and play big games like this, not too high and not too low

Aside from the fact two of our receivers lead all of Bama's in every statistical category while playing better defenses?

Watching that video, looks like Trask targeting Stingley he went 5/8 for 1 TD, 1 int, and I believe 4 first downs (correct me if mistaken). 2 incompletions were on sidelines, and the int was sorta middle outside. 4 completions were across the middle, and there was the really good throw and catch on the back shoulder to the outside. Trask and his receivers played great in those situations; none of the completions were easy.

Stingley is definitely scary to target though. I feel like we can make plays against him. We won’t have someone so tall lined against him consistently, but whoever is lined against him is going to be a very skilled receiver.

However, I also feel there is a risk with targeting him as he has shown he can make some big plays back (like when he Mossed that Auburn receiver, who is a solid WR) for an int.

Stingley will be a first rounder when his time comes. But Trask and Nix don't have the accuracy of Tua. And I'm not saying just target him either. With the Delpit and Fulton not at full speed or playing through nagging injuries there should be an advantage to the Alabama WR's.

The really good part about this is these two teams are gonna play a football game, this year, not last year's or any other year for the last 50. Line up and knock heads.

Referencing past success is just acknowledging Saban's unprecedented success in big games. It is just as tangible as any other metric, maybe more so.
