re: Bama fans, without referencing prior success, why do you believe you win this year?

No doubt. Bama receivers about to play a real secondary. Easy racking up yards after the catch against the competition they’ve played so far. They are good no doubt, but to think they’re world beaters is laughable.

In fairness, they can only beat who they have on the schedule. Their receivers are ridiculously good.

LSU will actually be the second best pass defense we'll have played this year:

Texas A&M has statistically been the best pass defense either team has played this year, with Auburn a close second (clipped out of this graph but tied with LSU at giving up 6.3 yards per pass, but also giving up 11 TDs to only 4 INTs). The rest of the pass defenses both LSU and Bama have played have been middling (Florida and Duke, tied at 43) to really bad (everyone else).

This has historically not worked to either teams advantage.

UA advantage

Head Coach
RB
Slight edge at WR
Edge rushers
DB depth

LSU advantage

Offense scheme
Defense Coordinator
TE
LB
Corners
Safety

If no Tua or limited Tua I give us the edge. Should be a good game. Hopefully we pull out a nail biter.

I actually enjoy when we can talk with a decent bama fan without arguments.

I just don't see the advantage for LSU. Talent is there, but with Delpit possibly playing injured. Fulton has been hurt all year. Stingley played like a freshman against Florida. Vincent seems like a liability more than an asset. I just don't see LSU with the advantage.

Am I wrong or are our receiving numbers off the charts for yards after catch?

Nope, you are correct. This just shows your QB gets too much credit. Doesn't mean your WRs are better than ours.

LSU's pass defense has been average all season. It's strange how some of you cling to this notion that your pass defense has been elite?

You don't know football. They threw nothing but quick back shoulder hook routes at him (and why do you think they had to attack him this way?????). Other than those indefensible routes, he played fine.

Who has said elite?

I've said they just have a slight edge of Bama's secondary (Bame's secondary isn't elite)

ETA: And don't mistake the failure of our LBers for the that of our DBs. Our linebackers had trouble with playing zone in our first 4 games or so. The issue wasn't our DBs.

Better head coach and coaching Home game More talent Better offense Better defense Better special teams, minus kicking LSU O-line is still weak Bama is a all around better team and the better team usually wins.

Really? The idiots at Vegas think y’all should be favored by 8 even if Tua doesn’t play.

I agree that this is stupid. Vegas oddsmakers hardly ever get it right. That is why they continually lose money.

They don't know their job and are just guessing and hoping for the best.

No doubt. But he will be lined up against similar or better talent all game long.
The LSU fan for some reason took offense to me saying Stingley played like a freshman against Florida. Which he is one. And you saw the rest of his response. You don't know football!! Back hook super sonic sideways undefendable passes all night long!!!
So I posted video of him getting beat by simple slants and poof he was gone.

Vegas has Bama a 7 pt favorite if Tua doesn't play and a 10-11 pt favorite if he does.

They see what I do.
Bama defense > LSU defense
Bama WRs > LSU WR's (which is why we are still favored by a TD with Mac Jones in)

And LSU only beat Auburn by 3 pts at home and their offense is terrible.
