Bama fans, without referencing prior success, why do you believe you win this year?

Where would you say your advantages are? Where do you think our flaws lie?

O-Line
Lack of Pass Rush/QB Pressure
CB Depth (to hang will all 4 of their WRs)
Mental Pressure of having to beat bama to end the streak

If they dont get to Burrow without blitzing, we will have a shootout.

Better head coach and coaching
Home game
More talent
Better offense
Better defense
Better special teams, minus kicking
LSU O-line is still weak

Bama is a all around better team and the better team usually wins.

Honestly I think things are pretty even across the board

When Alabama passes - edge to Alabama (both blocking and passsing/catching)

When Alabama runs - even (LSU is a good run defense and we are a good run offense at this point)

When LSU passes - edge to LSU (passing/catching, though I think we can make some noise up front with Lewis)

When LSU runs - edge to LSU (low key most important part of the game IMHO - pretty terrified of it)

Our place kicking game is awful, clearly. Our punting went from worst in D1 football to above average. Our kick coverage is elite. Our kick/punt return is elite.

So, I dunno, lot of dudes on the field on both sides.

The Secondary

Agree to disagree

O-line

Been our most improved unit besides WR all year. Again agree to disagree

Mental Pressure

IMO this is the biggest problem and has been in the series for a while.

We were worse than Bama last year, but we certainly weren’t 29 points worse, and we definitely shouldn’t have been shut out by Bama’s worst defense in a while to that point.

O has a hell of a job to do to get our players ready for this game.

returning is excellent with Waddle, no issues in coverage, and our new punter is solid

Right, but we haven’t had any issues with coverage and our only blip returning has been one fumble by a freshman returner.

Waddle has done it too, I watched him.

If you can’t kick I think LSU has the better special teams, plain and simple.

Your new punter is a bit of a phenomenon lol

It all starts with the belief that Tua will be close to 100%

When looking at SP+ ratings, Alabama and LSU are almost equal on defense (like by less than a point).

but Alabama is by far and away better than LSU on offense (by 20 points).

As good as LSU has looked, Alabama's offense is just that much better.

Yep. Bama is great at punt returns, punt defense, kickoff returns, kickoffs and now punting is good again.

Only weakness is field goal and extra point kicking.

Waddle is the best punt returner in the country.

I don’t know all the punt returners, so hard for me to comment on that...

But watching Waddle work I’ll take your word for it

I’m not so certain we do win nette. I’m really more worried about LSU running right up the middle of the Bama defense than I’m worried about Burrow picking our secondary apart. We both will be rested and it’ll be a bunch of elite players knocking the hell out of each other per usual. I’m at 50-50 now if Tua plays and 45-55 to LSU if he doesn’t play.

This is the first year i can ever remember where both Bama and LSU who are known for tough defensive plays and Average Offense is reversed. I believe its going to be a shootout and definitely think who ever loses the game if they win out will still get in the playoffs.

If Tua is not functional and/or Mac has to play we very clearly shift into an underdog roll. It's not that Mac is "bad", it's that in a game we like this we need more than just pretty good. Doesn't mean Mac couldn't do it, but to do it consistently for 4 quarters where every drive is pressure packed........we'd be fighting uphill.

The difference will be covering LSUs WRs and Lewis and Jennings harassing Burrow. I like our chances on both of those.

Really? The idiots at Vegas think y’all should be favored by 8 even if Tua doesn’t play.

Yea I don't buy that at all. If Tua is truly "out" that line ain't sitting at 8.

Alabama's advantage is lsu's headcoach.

Ogeron's fingerprints were all over that auburn game. Things were lookin' a little tight and he started meddling again. He gave "the slinger" full playcalling duties and dismissed brady. It showed.

Well whiteboots is gonna do that again November 9th. He'll get nervous, forget he's not that kind of coach and he'll....Well....Get involved.

That "involvement" is a definite Alabama advantage.
