“We kind of middled the line not knowing if Tua is going to be out there or not,” said Adam Burns, oddsmaker at SportsBetting.ag “If he plays, the spread will get to or around -10. If he doesn’t, look for it to settle around -7. He’s worth 3-4 points to the number.”

I figure he would be worth more than that. Feel a lot better about this game now

Sounds more like an indictment of LSU's defense. Alabama can only score so much more on them even with Tua at QB.

Our defense has been pretty lights out recently except against Florida, which was our first game with our starters back.

Don’t underestimate this defense.

Guess that confirms the WRs make him look good for him to only be worth that.

So against Mississippi State and Auburn?

I'm not saying you haven't improved, but those are two of the worst offenses in the SEC. AU has been held under 30 points 5 times this year; MSU 5 times as well. They are not a good gauge to see if your defense has improved or not; the same reason I'm not using Arkansas as anything to indicate our defense has improved either.

So they think Tua is overrated I guess. Starting qb top 5 pick heisman contender worth a field goal?

6.5 to 7.5 seems to be a number that will entice the bets .

I agree. LSU has plenty of defensive talent on their roster, especially against the run.

I agree with you...Seems like Vegas wants people to take LSU and the points...I know it is in Tuscaloosa, but number seems high to me...I was expecting 3-4 point range...

To be fair, when Tom Brady was suspended the line for the Pats 1st game only dropped 5

I don’t disagree with any of that. I’m going more by how much better our defense has looked than the actual scores because I don’t put a lot of weight in it either.

It’s pretty simple with LSU, when our secondary started getting picks and we got healthy everything seemed to come together.

On the other side of the ball, Marshall also didn’t look completely 100% against Auburn. Hopefully he is for Bama.

I know trolling is fun, but if anything it's an indictment of tua.

So you would have LSU/Bama at a pick without Tua? That's a lot of risk for odds makers. 3-4 points on one player is a lot. You're talking 30-40% of the line without him. I believe it was Braxton Miller who was out in a big game years back and Vegas adjust their line by around 5 or so and that was deemed a drastic move for one player.

These people clearly don’t understand football.

How many points do y’all think QBs are worth to spreads?
