Bama will be fine with or without Tua. He's a really good QB, but Bama has recruited better than anyone for years. They will be a tough match regardless of who plays.

When it's a heisman/nc contender and has achieved pretty high accolades I would expect more. You really think a mac jones led bama O will only fall that much

Thought more people would be all on this early for LSU and the line would drop rapidly.

We still have big money putting the dollars on Bama, even with that number.

Those guys know something.

And home field is usually about 3. So all things considered Vegas really only see Bama as about a 3pt favorite at a neutral site without Tua.

It isn’t so much the difference in the starter and backup as it is how teams change how they play when a backup is in.

Bama shoud be favored by 17. No way Bama can lose this game.

I was wondering when this would happen. The only thing is it didn't work for the bama game last year.

So Tua is not considered important to Bama's success?

As I said in a post yesterday, the professional odds makers are going to make a game line as close as they can, THEN move it according to the direction the money's going. The professional gamblers ("sharps") usually make their bets immediately after the opening line hits, because they're basically hunting for an odds makers' mistake. And when they believe they've found one, they'll drop the big hammer (huge bet). That's what generally causes the quick move in the opening line.
Bottom line is if you see a 1 1/2 point or better move immediately after the line comes out, you can assume the "sharps" moved it.

Ohh I understand that. But the problem is bama wont be dictating how this game is played. That would be the shrimp boat captain

These Vegas guys are all over the place. Heard one the other day on ESPNU Radio say Tua was conservatively worth 8 points.

I actually agree.

I’m this particular game I’m not sure if Alabama will be able to slow it down and try to grind out a win. Their defense isn’t good enough to do that I don’t think. I’m worried about y’all running the ball really effectively and making it impossible to get stops.

I'm worried because of who is coaching bama. He will find a way. Sly as a fox

The only "Vegas guys" you can pay attention to are the ones who make the lines.
