that is literally the only reason this is being proposed. To help auburn. It's mystifying why our AD doesn't realize that, or even worse does realize it and simply DGAS.

It is a shame VOLS and Auburn do not play more than like twice a decade. My nearly 80 year old Grandpa still considers Auburn as Tennessee’s #2 rival like they were for decades.
Yea - IDGAF about the TV money and the whole SEC prestige thing.
I'd take going back to the old school SEC with cotton mouth coaches and old rivalry games all day every day.
Instead we play Texas A&M and Arkansas every year.

f Auburn can work over UGA like this, maybe it's time to request that tWLOCP rotate between Jacksonville and Gainesville.
I think UGA/Florida should do a Jacksonville, Gainesville, Athens rotation. Every three years it at your home field.

that's yalls problem, not ours or anyone else's in the SEC. And it's also only a "problem" because UGA and Bama are so good, I don't recall auburn crying this much about it in the 90s or early 00s.
UGA has been that good over the last 38 years. A lot of the upsets in the series have been due to the schedule.

I don't care what the political correct statement will be from officials, the bottom line is AU thinks their schedule is too hard and wants to make it easier by moving a game that has been in the same spot since WW2. And somehow, for some reason I can't explain, our AD is going along with it.
The real reason is Auburn's season ticket package is over in late October in even years.

which would be solved by playing back to back in athens in the mid-20s when that next round of schedules is made, to correct what caused this problem in the first place.
And let's say we do move to sept/oct...how does that improve your november home schedule for ticket holders? The location isn't changing only the date.

All the schools and the commish are okay with it as well. There could be something else going on that would help multiple schools? Just to be frank, SEC goodwill toward Auburn is rare which makes this surprising.

It should be in Jacksonville every year from now until the end of time. That game is one of the best traditions in college football and should not be messed with.

Removing an away game from the month of november and replacing it with a home game. How does that not improve our november home schedule in those years?

From all accounts, this looks to be a stopgap until that point.

You move an early SEC home game in the UGA slot. Again, usually teams have byes scheduled later in the season, now AU plays a SEC home game and a non P5 game after mid October on even years. Expansion caused this problem and AU bit the bullet for the league.

How is there a problem?

A home game now in November, but really I think its going to add to our October schedule
Adjusting our SEC early schedule allows for a lot of movement on the backend
Currently here is how Auburns schedule goes usually
5 homes games in September/first week oct------two games in November

Too bad the Iron Bowl didn't move to September. Playing Auburn early is always best.
Bama is usually healthier and during the few seasons Auburn does have a good year, it's best to play them early before they get their act together.

For years Bama has played MSU prior to Auburn, while AU played UGA. Having Mullen at MSU even the scale a little, but for the most part it was an open week.

LSU and Auburn have struggled with that series in terms of dates. LSU wants it in late October. AU wants it earlier in September. I guess the compromise has been to shift it back and forth depending on where its played.

As an Auburn fan let me go on record as saying I hate this. It's probably good for AU, certainly in the short term with where UA and UGA are not now, but 125 years of tradition down the drain. Boo

And the home team usually gets their wish in the series. It is hot as hell in September in Auburn, I never understood why AU want this time slot for a pivotal game. It would be different if they were playing a team from the North.

Wow
UGA trying to face cupcakes right before Tech so they won’t have to go against two big bros the same month smh

Alabama is a conference game and GT is a non conference game dumb arse. Fairly sure Auburn is trying to schedule a non conference cupcake before Bama.
