thats because Auburn will not travel to UGA two years in a row. Only UGA will fall for a trick like that

How’d that work out for you?

Perks of SEC being in Birmingham. We do what we want.

They also wanted to move to the East to escape Bama, and play UGA at Auburn every year.

You truly are the biggest tard on this board. How you manage to tie your shoes is a mystery.

Fairly sure Auburn is trying to schedule a non conference cupcake before Bama.

We already have that, so no.

Wrong as usual, you ignorant frick. NO Auburn fan nor Auburn itself ever asked to not play Alabama.

Such name calling is hurtful and unnecessary. And are you SURE about the second sentence?

Posted this a while back. Mizzou released their 2020 schedule by mistake and quickly deleted it. It has UT playing them in early October, when we normally play UGA around this time. Going off this, UGA-Auburn may take that end of September/ first of October slot, and UT-UGA move to November.

If you view it simplistically it may be shocking uga would entertain this option, but neither school is afraid to play the other school

So why does Auburn CONTINUALLY bitch about playing in November? And please stop with the "November ticket sales in even years" bullshite.

Are you REALLY trying to tell me your revenue takes a noticeable hit in even years? BS

quote:

years...name a single November east game that has created that type of ROI for the networks.

In the end this decision will be an SEC decision driven by TV dollars and uga/Auburn will only offer input

Good Lord, you REALLY think TV contracts are negotiated over this game or a 2 game stretch in November.

The TV dollars and SEC TV contracts won't change because of this switch.Do you not realize this?

Strike a nerve, did I. You Aubies are the only school in the SEC bitching about the division you’re in and bitching about having to play a tough schedule. You only bitch about it when it’s not working in your favor. I didn’t hear much bitching from Aubies before Saban and before UGA claimed ownership rights over Auburn this century. You’re pathetic.

And an off week before UGA... meanwhile we play an SEC opponent.

I can understand why UGA wouldn’t bitch about the Division they are in . It is the only reason they have been relevant the last few season. Remember Kirby is 4-5 against the West.

In the last decade AU has played a cupcake or had a bye prior to Iron Bowl.

'11 Samford
'12 AL aTm

AU sits at 3-7 vs Bama, 3-8 vs UGA

As an outside observer

#1 AU has an AD who's forward thinking, well spoken, has organizational skills & massive balls.
#2 The SEC showing goodwill towards AU is shocking to say the least.
#3 UGA's AD isn't acting alone in this negotiation, he HAD to consult his head football coach before he went to the negotiating table. Kirby & McGarrity are obviously ok with his.
#4 AU seriously needs relief, their schedule has been a bitch for a long while and they've always seemed to get shite on by this conference.

Good on AU & your AD for taking Sankey to task and taking charge! Must be a real breath of fresh air compared to Jethro Jacobs.

Auburn has been at a huge disadvantage having your two biggest rivalries at the end of the season two weeks apart.

Didn't hurt much in the 80's and 90's and you usually have an off week or cupcake before both games.Dont see the issue here.
