Exactly. If our AD goes over $10 million a year, I won’t be happy. I love having Lane but he’s not worth that much.

I think about 37 million people called the Harsin firing.

Ole Sexton smoking a cigar, playing Ole Miss like a fiddle, and earning himself (and Kiffin) a pay raise to stay at OM.

If Auburn is offering Kiffin 12 million a year, our AD better tell him it’s been a great 3 years and have fun in Alabama

Surely their AD isn’t dumb enough to not have noticed what’s been going on at A&M with large guaranteed contracts, right?

The initial signing of Fisher wasn't half as egregious as the extension

They have lost their minds. They deserve what they are about to get if they pay that kind of money for Kiffin.

Agree on that.

I hope this is true and it's guaranteed. The SECW will be soft like the East with only one great Georgia team.

LSU team got blown out by Tennessee!

Good lord have people not learned from A&M and Sparty?

To be fair, those were extensions after seasons where, while they were good seasons, didn't result in even winning their divisions. It's a little different than a completely new hire. Typically (I know yall are going to bring up Harsin and Taggart) you'd expect new hires to have 3-4 years before you think about firing them. Whereas for extensions, they've already been with you for some time and if you've done nothing extension worthy to begin with (anomaly seasons resulting in still 0 hardware) then a shite season will raise serious eyebrows. People are more forgiving for a shite season in someone's first year, at least usually.

Probably a bit high, but I have repeatedly said. Highest paid, Jimbo type contract.

All you have to know is who his agent is. Bends SEC schools over regularly

If they want to pay lane Kiffin more than Nick Saban he can go there. That would be hilarious

Narrows it down to most people not living in a 3rd world sub-saharan climate.

That said, please let this be true. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Auburn jump right into A&Ms shoes. It would be totally...........Auburnesque.

I think everyone in this thread will be a lot less shocked by these numbers next time they are hiring a coach.

Auburn won’t be giving Kiffin 120 m for 10 years. Not going to happen.

Oh frick off! If I've learned anything in 40 years as a fan and 20 years as a message board poster, it's that message board "insider info" is ALWAYS poser bullshite.
Nothing convinces me more that Lane Kiffen ain't within 1009 miles of taking the Auburn job than the seeing a thread every two hours saying it's so.
