No coach with Kiffin's resume is worth that kind of money.

My thoughts exactly.

At least Jimbo had a NC. Kiffin has nothing in the trophy case.

At what point does this become malpractice?

My goodness that is a truck load of money. How in the world does Auburn have that kind of cash?

Aren't they still paying Gus' and Harsin? Christ.

Have they told Lane it is crypto currency yet? No? Well let’s just keep that our little secret.

Everyone called it but he supposedly nailed the day, many thought it would happen after the season. I personally thought it would have been during bye week. Not saying he’s right on the Kiffin stuff but he did get that call right from his sources.
Was it really an insider scoop that the timing of Harsin's termination was tied to the hiring of the new AD?

This is Jimmy Sexton’s fault and guys like him.

A contract takes 2 signatures. The schools and AD's are to blame as well.

They are negotiating these contracts a couple times a career while spending other people’s money. They are at a significant disadvantage from a leverage perspective.

Auburn is loaded and they are showing they are willing to spend just as much money as the Texas oil tycoons we hear about.

They're paying Malzhan + Harsin + his staffers + NIL coffers are stocking $30MM + brand new football facility about to open @ +/-$100MM + whatever Kiffin's OM buyout ($10MM??) + Kiffin's +$12MM/yr salary + they'll give Kiffin $7MM/yr for his staff. They may top a quarter of a billion on football alone inside a 3 yr span.

Way to swing a big dick Aub's.

Yeah it was. He said hours before anything leaked Harsin had been fired. Even Auburn’s beat writers were shocked, one was on his way to talk to Harsin when he got the news.

Timing came out of left field.

They'll be happy with 9 win seasons on the Plains. It's worth every penny to them.

It seems like a dumb contract number, but this is where the market is moving. You can save 4 million a year and hire Jeff Grimes and then buy him out and do this again in 3 years or you can spend the extra 4 million a year and try to get a guy that has a much higher chance of succeeding. It is a risk, but if the boosters are going to put the money up…

To me, you don’t build a $92 million football facility to fill it with Jeff Grimes and a bunch of 3 stars from Oneonta.
