They could land that eagle in the stands and extra people wouldn't be "on the field" in any capacity. Auburn can work around this easily if they choose.

I don’t think you’re thinking of the logistics of that

The eagle should fly, the dogs should walk and the league needs to realize they are already on thin ice with a lot of fans.

I’ve gotta be honest. Watching the eagle fly down is one of the best, hair raising experiences in all of the SEC game day traditions. I hate the PC world we live in.

This encapsulates the ridiculous overreaction at all levels very well.

Not an Auburn fan (unless playing bama) but that is definitely one of coolest things in SEC.
Just be like frats boys and say “frick it daddy will just pay the fine, but I am not going to be a bitch.”

They need to teach him to fly into the stadium, pounce on a Sankey doll on the fifty, fly out of the stadium and swear to God it was a wild Eagle.

But no, no way this is about nothing more than control. Probably a gigantic risk of Covid infused eagle poop landing on everyone.

EKG, you actually had a decent Reveille (V) when you were in school. VI was a spoiled temperamental bitch in every sense of the word.

Sad to see this is a 2020-only Covid thing.

Thought maybe the SEC had finally passed a rule prohibiting the abuse of animals surrounded by 100,000 screaming humans.

Dogs probably don't mind, but LSU was absolutely right to stop putting a big cat in that situation.

Basically, if it's fun and not part of the actual game, you can't do it this year.

The SEC is decided that no one can be on the field except players, coaches, and staff.

There will be no cheerleaders, no marching band, no mascots because I guess those mascots need handlers.

When are we all going to say enough is enough! This is gone from crazy to bat shite crazy! They are taking away everything that makes college football so special!

I have to admit, even as a Bama fan, the eagle flying over the field is pretty damn cool.

The flight is well before players take the field and it's not like they can't take him off the field after landing.

I don't really care it's not flying because the whole gameday atmosphere is going to be so lame this year anyway and I'm sure I won't be able to attend any games but the level of stupidity of this decision angers me.

I think that extends to all aspects of life this year. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and they said laughing gas was nixed during COVID. No idea what the two have to do with each other. It’s just a rule everything has to be a little shittier this year I think.

Is LSU's Tiger going to be allowed on the field?
