No it was not. LSU still wore white at home in 1982. LSU didn't start wearing purple at home until the rule change in 1983. LSU lost this game 40 to 35. I remember my Dad and I left the game when early down 33-14 but by the time we got to our vehicle LSU had made a comeback and almost won. It was the last time we ever left a game early. I was like 9 years old at the time. It was day game too.
Great picture. #21 is one of my all time LSU favorites.

It used to be #1 and #2 from districts then at large. I believe that is what it was before select/non-select with districts mixed BS. That is when winning district actually meant something.
Central vs. St. Amant will be a good one this weekend.
It sucks when district teams line up first and second rounds:
