I feel like Auburn is missing out on a great loop hole here

Makes sense if that is the rule. I guess UGA, Smokey, etc will not be on the field either.

2020 just keeps on giving

Did I miss something? Where’s the data that suggests that animals are the primary carriers of the China virus or that they are severely affected by it?

They're trying to limit the number of people on the field. Animals need a couple handlers while they're on the field

They could land that eagle in the stands and extra people wouldn't be "on the field" in any capacity. Auburn can work around this easily if they choose.

Just do it anyways, it’s not like they will actually do anything

Sure they would.
A personal foul penalty, at the very least.
No handler wants to be responsible for that.

But it‘s a big bummer.

Covid 19 only spreads when live mascots are on the field. Perfectly safe without them.

Makes sense. Great "rule"
