We will be in a lot of shootouts next year. Should be fun
Who do we play that’s good enough to get us in a bunch of shootouts?
Also, our defense isn’t going to be that bad. I still fully expect us to be a top 20 unit.

Might be the most overrated coach in college football.

I'm sad for their program.
It's like getting into a fight with someone and putting them in a coma. Then every year, the NCAA makes you go to the hospital and fight them again.
Just sad.

Wow, wouldn't have thought Bama would've been #1, must be a Saban thing. We lose something like 9 starters on defense alone, depending on what package we're in...both MLBs, probably our entire secondary, including those in nickel and dime, and probably two on our DL...
On offense, we lose all 3 starting WRs, our top RB is sure to declare, and maybe his backup as well...think we also lose our center...
Did not know this. With Auburn losing Kerryon and other key playmakers
LSU has coach O
Ole Miss and Arky have the suck
We get A&M at home
We return 18 starters
Stars are aligned. State wins the west next year. If we can't do it then we never will

Oh great. I can’t wait to see Coach O against 3 teams in the Top 5.

How the hell is Bama number 1?

Miami ahead of Oklahoma?
Michigan in the top 10?
sounds wrong
also - MS State & Florida starting off ranked? South Carolina seems to be far more deserving than both of an early ranking

Our front 7 returns everyone but D. Payne, Hand and SDH (who has been out anyway).
We lose Evans as well...

We're going to be pretty damn good next year.
Don't doubt that...but I still wouldn't put us at preseason #1...
The starters we lose on D is pretty impressive, assuming the juniors jump as expected:
NT Payne
DE Hand
MLB Evans
MLB SDH
CB Wallace
CB Averett
Star Brown
Money Hootie
S Fitz
S Harrison
Not saying they're irreplaceable, but that's a ton of experience/leadership/communication we'll be missing...I think it'll especially be hard in the secondary...most of our replacements there won't have much experience at all...

I understand States ranking
Florida is in their based on name recognition alone

Doesn't Georgia lose 3/4 of their starters?
This narrative has spun out of control.

We're going to be as good or better next year than we were this year (especially if we stay healthy).
State should have a really good team. Moorhead is walking into a nice situation.

I remember people asking how Bama is #1 last year, losing all this 1st round guys.

Basically lose the entire LB and secondary. If Baker declares, the cornerback position will have little to no experience.
Not too worried about the LBs except for who replaces Roquan. Secondary will be super green regardless, but alot of talent has been accrued.

Secondary is going to be very green. Thompson's play on Saturday is pretty exciting.
Front 7 is going to be loaded with returning experience due to all the injuries this year. Our LB core will have a 2-deep of guys who have almost all started at least 1 SEC game (Lewis, Miller, Jennings, Moses, Wilson, Holcombe, Mosley) plus guys who have played quite a bit compared to past years on the 3-deep (Allen, McMillon). Biggest question with be DT/NG IMHO, which is obviously a very important position in our scheme.
