I mean seriously. Kentucky Ole Miss is scheduled for 11 AM. Tennessee at LSU is scheduled for 11 AM.

I get it the ESPN 6 or 8 o’clock is full. Ok why can’t we play these games on ESPN+ or SECN+ at our desired times? Nobody wants to play at 11. I don’t care who you are or who your opponent is. It’s nonsense. I feel like the schools should gave more of a say in the time. Then again who cuts the checks?

That's the only answer here. ESPN wants compelling games across the time slots, which means good games are going to get the 11am kickoff slot.

Why CBS picked up AU/UGA over this game baffles me

Top ten Tennessee at possibly top 25 LSU at night is moving the needle more than any game that week aside from Bama-A&M and OU-Texas. One of which is scheduled for 11 AM also.

ESPN is such trash.

There are two factors causing schedule grief right now: FOX and CBS.

CBS having first dibs on the SEC games sucks because they usually won’t put their games at night due to their other programming. Luckily that goes away in a few years.

FOX’s 11am slot has kicked arse recently, and ESPN probably wants to compete. I would expect our second or third best game each week to be 11am from now on. That sucks but not much that can be done about it.

Why is it ALWAYS LSUers who feel aggrieved about playing any time other than 8:00 PM in Baton Rouge?

Oh my god they are so mean to us. ESPN, CBS, NCAA, and all polls hate LSU. Schedules are unfair and whenever there is a Hurricane anywhere the game should be moved to Baton Rouge.”

When you are the defending LAST PLACE TEAM you play when you are told. Heck, Alabama played Texas at 11:00. Shut up and gear up, whiners

People don’t get the ESPN plus or the SECN plus. I’m sure not paying an extra for it.

because ESPN chose first. CBS had #1 pick, chose Alabama/A&M for primetime. Then ESPN got the #2 pick. They chose LSU/UT. CBS chose third for the 2:30 slot and picked Auburn/UGA. Sucks the time slots worked out that way this particular weekend, but had ESPN chose someone else, CBS would have picked the LSU/UT game more than likely and obviously ESPN wanted to secure that game despite it being at 11:00 AM.

The other slots are for ESPNU and SECN, which everyone doesn't get. The 11:00 AM game is the only TV slot the primary ESPN channel has for next weekend

How else are they going to tell the SBIV story if they don't have him on air?

Y'all do realize that eventually LSU must play a game or two while the sun's still up, right?

Your program is my favorite non-UGA team, but Lord God Almighty, are y'all entitled when it comes to assuming you should play every game at night.

Alabama is a 3:30 team

Utx historically is a 3:30 team

If kansas beats them again, will kansas get a bump to 3:30 is the question?

Oklahoma is a 3:30 team

TAMU has eyeballs and 3:30 is not out of the question

Missouri is the 11 am lock until they get better or the pro teams get bad.

Most tv shows & sports cater to the Eastern Time Zone.

You can talk the day Alabama allows scheduling to change the UT game to a different date.

I'm sick of the shitshow that is trying to find what alternate channel the game you want to watch is starting on.

Last week only espn deportes and skycam were available for the start of TAMU/ark.

ESPN knows that most of the games are going to overlap, so why is it such a hard thing to make an easy transition.

The main reason LSU fans make it a big deal is the tradition and pageantry of Saturday night in death valley.

It is part of the culture here like the renowned tailgating scene. The tailgating is completely neutered by 11am games. We understand a one-off 11am game vs Vandy.

But to have a likely marquee matchup at home (one of the two good home game draws this year) be played at 11am is really crappy. At least w a 2:30 game you still have the morning to tailgate and get excited w friends before a big game.

It is what it is.

Real question is, what the frick is wrong with you that you keep coming in every thread bitching about it?

We like our night games. They’re more fun. Simple as that. Has nothing to do with “fairness” you complete fricking retard.

In fairness, the Red River Shootout is usually played at 11 AM.

The truth shall set you free.

I’ve been to a great many LSU night games… and here is the truth…. That “tradition” is done, finished, over.

Today a night game starting at 8:00 PM isn’t over until 11:30 or midnight. At LSU you will then have a 1-2 hour wait just to leave the area hopefully by 1AM. Because of that, at half time the stands are emptying rapidly and are 1/4 full in 4thQ.

Few people can drink and eat all day and be functional at midnight. And with all the trash, stinking garbage, and drunks around the stadium, it can be down-right dangerous to leave that late…I have some horror stories about that.

Back in the day when a game lasted 2-3 hours max maybe it was fine, but this is 21st C. Even the Alabama game features half empty stadium the last Q.

Also, my LSU friends think LSU is a national draw like Alabama, Texas, Penn State. They are convinced people in California and Virginia are just waiting breathlessly for an LSU game to come on. I hate to break it to you, but outside of this State. LSU is a middling draw… akin to UNC or Wisconsin. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE THE DEFENDING LAST PLACE TEAM.

I know you don’t like it, but someone had to tell you the truth. Don’t choke, sputter, deny, hurl hate and invective… just consider what I typed. The truth shall set you free.

PS: Start “night” games at 5:00 PM.

False. I’m definitely ok with playing the bullshite cupcake cakes at 11 Am. I don’t want our 2nd biggest home game of the year to be at 11. Literally play all of the other home games at 11 and give us Tennessee and Bama at night. That’s all.
