I posted this in another thread but think it’s relevant here.

I will say this:

Drink would very likely be better than Kelly. I don’t think it’s that easy for mizzou to get elite talent.

I have watched a fair amount of mizzou games and I consistently come away impressed that he doesn’t make stupid coaching decisions and his teams always play hard. You know he is tired of being somewhere that doesn’t get much credit for their accomplishments.

That all said-he is not worth backing up a brinks truck for in my opinion. I am like most here that think we are better figuring out a younger hungry coach w lower base and buyout but incentive heavy based contract.

If going that route I think Aleksy Goelesh has an amazing drive and a program building skillset. Does that mean he will be able to make the leap into the SEC? Who knows? My second choice in this scenario is Morris from North Texas.

As far as Lane is concerned you, me, and everyone else who is honest are gonna lose our collective minds watching him stupidly go for unnecessary fourth downs in bad scenarios. I have seen a couple of those decisions cost him games. If he tightens that up then he could potentially crush at a place like LSU. You absolutely know for a fact that he thinks and knows he can coach circles around coach O and it has to eat at him a little bit that O has a National Title and he doesn’t. He has to know if O did it at LSU then he sure as hell could.

I have lived here for years. Used to go to half moon and it was solid. Stopped after a few years of wanting to watch at home.

Not sure where they go now, but wouldn’t mind an occasional game w a crowd.

I will tell you that DraftKings is an unbelievable place to watch games.

I dislike this lady as much as anyone, but this is not a true quote from her and the post has a lot of upvotes.

Memes are awesome and I love this thread, but quick pics and quotes that aren’t true will feed a growing divide that isn’t healthy for us as a nation or humanity.

I am all for exposing true quotes and letting people show us who they are. But those are the types of things that get crazy people to do crazier things.

She should still GTFO of america imo.
Concerning Indiana:

They will be exposed in the playoffs like last year.

Have you watched them play? Have you watched any cfb outside of the sec?

I follow the entire sport and have watched two full Indiana games and can tell you they are not last year’s Indiana team. Barring injury I think they will make the final four.

They DOMINATED Illinois AND Oregon at Oregon. Oregon had less than 50yds offense in second half. Oregon had a pick 6 and still lost by 10.

OSU, Miami, and Indiana are a cut above. Sadly, Bama is right behind them and they don’t look to be slowing down. A&M will most likely revert to their mean and not get it done, but they may have best defense in SEC.
They just need to add the stripes on the pants. I always like the look of teams that have different color pants from helmets w white jerseys.
Asu looks cool and so does UF w their blue pants and orange helmets.
Fsu w gold helmets and garnet pants as well.

Best will always be gold white gold though.
I only read LD based off the amazingly high praise from this forum.

It is a little slow at first but after you get into it the book is one that is so difficult to put down.

It is also my favorite book ever. I have 3 friends I finally convinced to read it and we all still talk about how great it is. There is no other book like it, including the others in the saga.

I didn’t read SOL because my friend found it disappointing and said not really worth it.

I thought DMW was a bit simplistic, but did provide some LD nostalgia as I read it. It is also much shorter. I would say that if you read this first you may not be as willing to commit to Comanche Moon or LD as they are much longer to read.

Comanche Moon is a great book but I found it to be a little bit repetitive in parts which was unnecessary. I mainly am referring to Indian internal dialogue and communications. It has more of a LD feel than DMW. I waited years to read it bc I heard it was really good and I wanted to savor it a bit.

I would say rankings are this:
LD 6 stars out of 5
CM 4/5
DMW 3.5/5

I am not going to read sol based on my friend’s assessment.

I would 100% read LD first.
Lane hasn’t had to play this defense.

Ole Miss gets way too much respect this year. They will get exposed. I was more concerned w them before the season started.

Lsu wins by two scores.
Auburn robbed?
Hate to see it. Please refer to Auburn having refs rob LSU in 2004 and 2006-especially 2006 concerning PI.

Cry more Auburn.
But you did get objectively hosed.
What makes you think we win by 4 tds when we have scored 4 tds all year?

No one could flash like him…. No on

What do you mean by this? I know “flash” is the new word everyone in the media has decided to use as a new slang to describe standing out/making plays.

What do you mean that no one could “flash” like D Jackson? I can name plenty who could make plays better than him.
Was curious to hear your experience and thoughts in Innisbrook.

Did you go?
Thanks for the insight.
In a week we will see what improvements our qbs made this offseason.
It should be a great game.
It may be worth it w good connections. We play the appropriate tees for our games.

You know how you play some munis and the lies are very helter skelter? Especially just off the fairways, you could be in dirt, mud, some patchy grass. It’s just very uneven which really added to difficulty.

We all felt like the best place to be was either on the green or in a greenside bunker.

I do think it would be a little better on a second play. But I will never go to Florida and play it again.

At the end of the day you guys will have fun on the trip. Just don’t go in thinking you will break 80. Our 3 hcp shot 94 and he wasn’t hitting the ball out of bounds.
Copperhead is brutal man.
Brutal.

I would suggest another track vs playing it twice.

We went in May of 2024 and the conditions of the course are not what I expected for a PGA tournament course. Greens were good though.

You have to hit great/solid shots continually or you get punished.

Played w a group of all single digits, one around a 3/4. We all felt is was one of the most difficult rounds we had ever played. I don’t know if it was as difficult as Whistling Straits or PGA West in La Quinta, but we all agreed it was way less enjoyable.

Probably because the conditioning and setting of the other courses FAR surpasses Copperhead.

Maybe you will like it, but I would temper your expectations.

On the plus side you should see some Osprey up close and they are cool.

We played Streamsong after Copperhead and the courses aren’t even worth mentioning in the same breath.

Let me know how you guys like it.
The 15 plus caps are gonna have a long day and lose balls. We had 8 guys walk off that round and to this day we all say F that course.

Haha.

Also-if you guys like cigars there is an absolutely amazing shop smokehouse that is really close by Innisbrook (we stayed on property). Let me see if I can track it down for you.
Amp Hill was probably the best wr to never play at LSU.

Just bad luck. Heard he was a good kid too.
The caption should say-
“If LSU Football was Nascar, but also a hat “
Let us not forget that had he not had his incident in 2011 and been suspended he would have had the opportunity to play against that Auburn team we absolutely beat to smithereens.

There is close to zero chance he doesn’t get some sort of turnover or punt return stats if he plays that game.

Moreover, if not for that cloud of the suspension he likely wins and should have won the heisman that year.

Modern era football is very different than when Cassanova played (and he is definitely in the top 3 ever), but I pose a question to this thread. It’s a hypothetical (which I dislike), but IF he doesn’t get kicked off team AND he plays his junior and senior years without injury do you think there is any way he doesn’t make all america team both those years to tie Tommy C?

Guy was the biggest game changing defensive and ST player in LSU history.

Trindon’s edge was that he was so low that Oline had basically zero leverage vs his center of gravity. Plus, his quickness was unmatched.

Ross too tall to follow in Trindon’s elite shoes.
