I remember playing this course once w my father before he passed. Bummed I cannot play it again for nostalgic reasons.

I don’t remember much about the area, but is it possible there is enough land there in the close by area for a second course? Seems like it could then become a possible golf destination trip type of place. The layout of Bluffs was great.

Quick question about BK never winning a playoff game.

What did he do a Grand Valley?
What sort of system determined that championship again?

I wish we had quicker results than we have had. I think he made some mistakes and underestimated the job it would take. But he makes adjustments.

The one thing I do like is that he can usually get his teams playing their best at the end of the year and that’s what you need for a playoff system.
What's your budget?

Peak price season that time of year fyi, but all courses will be in primo condition.

The courses Mingo mentioned are the top ones out here for sure. Mountain shadows is awesome and fun.

Course distances are gonna vary a lot depending on where you stay.

TPC is most overpriced course in the valley. Low value.
You can say he is not a dynamic playmaker, but what I can tell you is that if I had to pick any player on the team that absolutely had to make a catch I would choose him. Even over Taylor.

He dropped maybe one ball all year. He had an injury and still was solid for us when he returned not fully healthy.

He was an outstanding blocker, and no one ever had any gripes about him. I don’t remember him having any penalties either. He is a locker room fit and I think he deserves to get a little more nil vs someone unproven in our system.

Anderson made a huge jump from the previous year and I think CJ would only be better for us next year.

Count me in the boat for rewarding players that have produced vs mercenaries transferring in w minimal production.

He will score tds for us next year. That said, if we had a injury free Hilton (1% chance), AA and Parker we should be solid while also including Green.

But I would like CJ as he is probably more polished than Parker and extremely reliable in all phases over the others.

I am hoping it’s just a play to up his nil.

Honestly, he a deserving guy. He proved to me he can make plays for us, played hurt, and was unlucky to not get in the end zone.

I prefer giving a guy like Daniels money vs unproven fr from hs.

I think we need to keep him- realistically what wr would bump him from PT? Maybe Parker? But Parker will probably take Hilton’s spot since he is gone or will be injured and out like every season (can’t remember if this was his last bit if eligibility given his injuries over the years).
This has the potential to be the all time best. Better not be trolling.

I actually watched the 2005 Peach Bowl the other day and the talent disparity we have now in the secondary is glaring.

Jesse Daniels was easily the worst player in secondary on that team amd he would be the best DB we have on this team by far.

The others were Prude, C. Jackson, Laron Landry.

Brandon Taylor would look like a 5 star on this team. Would kill to have a guy like that on this team as he was a great leader and could play ball.

It goes to show you how much talent we lack nowadays. It kills you when you get high 4/5 stars and they just either don’t play or pan out (Sage/Gilbert).

This is on Kelly for his poor initial defensive staff hires and I think that he either:

A) assumed that high level players just recruit themselves to LSU

B) underestimated the talent/depth of other rosters in the SEC

C) doesn’t have good talent evaluation as it compares to SEC competition vs talent he needed at ND

I suspect it’s mostly A and B as any coach can miss on guys and he has had some wins ala Mason Taylor and getting JD etc.

Don’t you just hate to see it?
I totally agree w you that most teams
are in our same situation. But it’s one of the reasons why I am not getting so bent over stuff that almost every team is battling.

In no reasonable universe did I think we would be elite coming into this season.

I just want us to show improvement on the D side (check), show that we can not be scared of trying to return punts (check), and for the offense to still be solid (check).

This program will take a bit to get to elite level but I think we can get there.

I wait too long for the season to then be miserable during it barring a horrendous team-which this is certainly not.
I am going to say that this team is going to have to battle it out with every team left on the schedule in the SEC.

We have a decent team but not good enough to coast to any wins. We may show up one week and be firing on all cylinders and dominate someone, but it will be an outlier game.

It’s gonna be a challenge, but I think an interesting season. We haven’t had a team like this in a while so I am enjoying it for what it is. Low expectations for me, but they are good enough to surprise and way overachieve.

Honestly I suffer from depression

Which begs the question-

How bad was your depression prior to becoming an Ole Miss die hard fan?

I would suspect non-existent. Seems that you need to set a course for correction and follow another program or give up football fandom.

That, or accept that “We Are Ole Miss” includes you and as such you will always be subject to massive underperformance and misery.

Unless you fully accept who Ole Miss is and always will be and set expectations properly moving forward, your depression likely to get worse.

Maybe some gas station chicken on a long toothpick and some shade under the busted arse trees will help your mood?

Best,

The LSU family
So my buddy loved the first one and asked me to check it out with him last Sunday. I went into the movie blind.

Going into movies blind can be fun, but also risky.

I cannot think of a worse movie I have seen in my life in the theater. It was flat out stupid, boring, and as all the other posts I have read have stated, completely took a dump on the audience of the first movie.

You wanna review? Here’s some spoilers- Cigarette smoking in almost every single scene sprinkled in with god awful songs combined with agonizing pacing. The end.

I wish I had a billion more thumbs so I could give it a billion and two thumbs down. Add in my buddy’s thumbs and call it an even billion and four thumbs down.

DO NOT SEE if you value your time.
Life can truly be brutal. I don’t know you but my heart goes out to you and your family. No one should have to go through this scenario. Prayers for you and family.

No words can help in this moment.

That being said I do like these words for times such as this.

When we lose someone we love we gain an angel we know.

re: Who was better Booger or Marcus?

Booger is more articulate without a doubt.

Love them both.
When I was a kid I thought Mt Rushmore somehow was a natural formation. I thought it was the most amazing coincidence ever. Because really, how in the world could anyone actually carve out a mountain to look like four president's heads? I could not conceive of any humanly way to create it.

I just assumed everyone knew it was one of the wonders of the world until one day in middle school I was flipping through tv channels and stumbled upon a "creating Mt Rushmore" documentary. My mind was blown.
So it sounds like what you were trying to describe is called foreshadowing.

This is where there is a specific thing that is shown or discussed that will return at a later point.

A set-up is usually more like what people are using for examples here where a whole storyline/plot builds to a reveal.

Lots of great examples are given here in this thread of both.

This is an enjoyable thread. The Interstellar foreshadowing is amazing and completely made the movie way better for me the second time I watched it.

One movie with a great setup not mentioned already is The Game w Michael Douglass. Love that movie.
You will not regret doing this. I am jealous.
If UF would just let him hire all the staff he wants they could be successful.

LOL

I found the audiobook to be way more digestible. Seemed like every sentence in the book had something “important” to understand so I couldn’t read through it with any normal speed.

Lots of good practical and applicable concepts that you can use in daily life.

I can see how it’s not for everyone, but I think it would benefit the bulk of society.
