I’ve been to a great many LSU night games… and here is the truth…. That “tradition” is done, finished, over.

Today a night game starting at 8:00 PM isn’t over until 11:30 or midnight. At LSU you will then have a 1-2 hour wait to just to leave the area. Because of that, at half time the stands are emptying rapidly and are 1/4 full in 4thQ.

Few people can drink and eat all day and be functional at midnight. And with all the trash, stinking garbage, and drunks around the stadium, it can be down-right dangerous to leave that late…I have some horror stories about that.

Back in the day when a game lasted 2-3 hours max maybe it was fine, but this is 21st C. Even the Alabama game features half empty stadium the last Q.

Also, my LSU friends think LSU is a national draw like Alabama, Texas, Penn State. They are convinced people in California and Virginia are just waiting breathlessly for an LSU game to come on. I hate to break it to you, but outside of this State. LSU is a middling draw… akin to UNC or Wisconsin. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE THE DEFENDING LAST PLACE TEAM.

I know you don’t like it, but someone had to tell you the truth. Don’t choke, sputter, deny, hurl hate and invective… just consider what I typed. The truth shall set you free.

PS: Start “night” games at 5:00 PM.

tell us how much LSU triggers you without telling us

the majority of his posts on this board pertain to LSU. He chooses to live in New Orleans and then lets being surrounded by LSU fans every day bother him to the extent of feeling the need to shitpost regarding all things LSU daily. It's who he is

BINGO. There's your answer.

When these deals are made they are in concrete. If one of the conferences TV partners tells you to play at midnight then, as a member of the conference that has a contractual obligation to said network, then you do it.

The networks try to maximize eyeballs and set their schedule according to how they feel. You or I may not agree but we don't write a 200 million dollar check.

Oh, and by the way, this is a residual of the 1984 ruling of UGA/Oklahoma vs the NCAA that nobody saw. Yes, now the conferences are free to negotiate with whomever they want but the tradeoff was you now have no say to your timeslot whereas before, you could say we're playing at night, as LSU always did, if you want to televise, here we are and any network could come.

First of all, clown, we weren’t the last place team in the SEC last year. We were last in the West, sure. We tied with Missouri (and had a better record against mutual opponents, owing to our defeat of Texas A&M) and South Carolina, and finished ahead of Florida and Vanderbilt. Not where we want to be, sure… and not where we will be for long. But not last. I wouldn’t bother to correct you but if you’re going to do some retarded bad faith pivot from bad faith trolling to “I’m just telling the TRUTH,” then you should get your basic facts rights.

Second. No one complaining is doing so because we’re some national draw being disrespected. We just want our sweet night games back. They’re the most fun games LSU plays. You’re the one ascribing retarded motivations to us.

You do this in every thread any LSU fan makes about schedules. It’s embarrassing. Take a lap

Why is it ALWAYS LSUers who feel aggrieved about playing any time other than 8:00 PM in Baton Rouge?

Bingo.

"Don't you dare mess with the TSIO and DSOR that's real tradition right there" while everyone else gets to play in Athens and Knoxville once every 15 years

*LSU fans want to play night games at home like they've traditionally been doing for 90 years

"LSU fans need to need to suck it up and quit complaining about game times"

you should've read their board earlier this week when the decision was announced, it was absolute gold. People demanding that the AD call the league office and threaten to leave the SEC

…need to shitpost regarding all things LSU

No need to “shitepost.” I don’t make thiings up, call schoolyard taunts, I just use true statements about the University to make fun of the self-important fans. And there is a plethora of true material to work with

- children’s Catholic hospitals;
- coaches with half-naked after sex selfies;
- grass chewing, we comin, siissy blue shirts;
- interminable crying about Refs, scheduling, penalties; news media prejudice;
- vulgarities unique to stadium such as STTDB, and “fruck yo…Say-ban;”
- rape, alleged rape, covered up rape, team votes;
- FBI tapes;
- “2nd place” rings;
- never ending bitching about schedules, not just LSU but every other team in the conference, …never freaking ending…!
- etc, etc, etc.

Don’t like someone using it? Quit doing it. Have a nice day.

Now I fully expect to see the usual brainless inanities and school-yard name calling as if that washes away the truth and hurts or something.

A lot of this has to do with MLB playoffs that are being played on that Saturday Oct 8...ESPN afternoon time slots are being used for those games

So you want the good games on channels half of y’all can’t figure out how to watch? That’s a bold marketing strategy.

You can talk the day Alabama allows scheduling to change the UT game to a different date.

So they can be like Auburn and shoot their tampon across the room when they had enough arse-whooping over the last 3 weeks of the season since the DSOR & IB are in succession?

It's called Third Saturday in October.

The main reason LSU fans make it a big deal is the tradition and pageantry of Saturday night in death valley.

Night games anywhere are a big deal. It's only perceived to be bigger to LSU because of fan sentiment.

Did someone from LSU frick your girl or something, damn you are mad. Hope you don't get shot next time Bama loses, but those are the risks of being a Bama fan.

If the SEC cares about "tradition" like they say they do, LSU should get night games, though this week is an odd case with the playoffs and CBS doubleheader.

assuming you should play every game at night.
It's LSU tradition. LSU has played ~15 games in the day time since it's berth. 150+ years worth of games, and only ~15 games. It's not that we are entitled, it's literally what LSU is about. Saturday night in Death Valley.

One thing is clear, we do not play in the sun. Hopefully these new contracts in a few years clears all this up and we go back to our normal scheduled program.

Read your first sentence and then this one: You obviously know NOTHING.

So what? Your opinion, means nothing, absolutely nothing.

Again opinion...this doesn't matter to a late start on a football game. This is why you have police, jackass.

Some people leave sure, especially if it's a blow out on non con games, etc. Bama games, not so much.

Sorry, but I travel the world, couldn't be further from the truth. Get out of bama, you might learn something. To sum it up, obviously a troll, or someone who hasn't left the state of bama in 30+ years, and your opinion on LSU athletics means jackshit.
