Not sure if they’ll actually do anything but they could come out and say “no teams with these players will be considered for the playoff”.
Judge can’t put a TRO on their opinion of who the most deserving teams are at the end of the year
And seeing as the P4 conferences agree with punishing teams with those players, I doubt they’ll be upset

Chambliss didn’t sign a pro contract. Sorry your roster is so weak that Kiffin needs judges to let him sign pro players to compete

If NCAA and conferences must comply with TROs, why is the CFP different?

Also, people have all week been pretending that LSU is going to be the only team with these players. I wouldn't be surprised if every one of these players is signed to college teams. Then what will the playoff committee do when all top 15 teams have at least 1? THAT'S the real question

Because the CFP committee has wide latitude on who they select for the playoffs and the courts can’t dictate who they select.

The fact that they are not a governing body doesn’t matter. The TROs cover NCAA and all those acting in concert with it.
If the CFP adopts the stance that teams are ineligible under these circumstances, that violates TROs.

You think that's actually going to work? If you defy a court order by discriminating against someone, the court probably won't defer to your "opinion." The court has already slapped down the conferences and the rant all week has gone on and on about how much wide latitude the states give the conferences. The individuals of the CFP are likely to be in the same boat Again, what's the committee going to do when LSU isn't the only team with these players? You honestly think the other SEC teams aren't going to take advantage of eligible players out of some misguided sense of tradition?
