So according to you, they should not permit Ole Miss into the CFP since they are playing a player that was ruled ineligible multiple times and used corrupt judges to get an injunction to let him play despite that over a sore throat, right?

He wasnt a professional player. The others were. That’s literally the difference
Did the NCAA rule him ineligible or not?

Eligibility doesn’t matter to Ole Miss. It’s about going to nfl training camp man. They are pro players now because they practiced with NFl teams.

It's willful ignorance at it's finest.
Both the 2022 players and Chambliss are out of eligibility per the rules. However, court orders are granting them both the opportunity to play.
It's the exact same thing and one could even argue the 2022 players have more of a right to play as they have ACTUAL eligibility to play, which Chambliss does not.
The SEC, NCAA and Ole Miss fans are hypocrites.

And you are still dancing around the question - what if every top 15 team has 1 of these players? The committee's "ethics" will go right out the window in favor of, you guessed it, MONEY

And neither are the players that signed pro contracts trying to say it’s the same thing as Chambliss’s situation

It's a distinction without a difference. All you Ole Miss fans are clinging to this with a death grip because you're all so mentally fricked by Kiffin dumping you that need this perceived moral high ground to make yourselves feel like you're better than him. You're not. By the NCAA's rules, Chambliss is ineligible. He's exhausted his eligibility. He's exhausted his appeals. They said no. Ole Miss refused to accept it because losing him significantly impacts this years team. So they took it to a friendly local judge to intervene on his behalf and say he can play.
You're playing an otherwise ineligible player via court order. Shut the frick up already. Your team is no better.

Chambliss didn’t sign a pro contract.
Not the only way to be considered not eligible by the NCAA clearly

CFP can select whoever they want you unethical PoS

quote:Ok Nostradamus. So some teams picked up a relative handful of players who were screwed over by the NCAA and given a 1 time exception and the CFP is going to make a "example" of them. What would be the point? The teams did nothing wrong, played within the rules and this isn't some horrifying trend destroying CFB like rantards are stroking out all week making it out to be the death of a beloved institution that's been not-so-secretly paying players since the 50's
They will make an example of LSU. It will serve as a warning, and other schools will heed it instead of having their athletic department dismantled as well.
You are sad

CFP can do whatever they want. Maybe they don't end up in jail for defying a court order.
I will ask this yet again - what will the CFP do when MULTIPLE teams in the top 15 have these players?
ANSWER THAT

Though I think college football is completely out of control and needs a major overhaul regarding transfers, NIL, etc., the SEC's purity argument (along with these other conferences) about not letting "professional" athletes play college football is laughable at this point. Before NIL, sure, but some of these "amateur" players are getting paid more than pro players and some players can make significantly more playing in college than they can being a scrub in the pros or trying to make it in the pros.
Also, there's the whole issue of how we have been letting foreign professional players play college sports. Illinois basketball made the Final Four with foreign professional players making up their starting 5. Again, it's laughable. They need legislation and they need to do it where they don't just try to randomly enforce rules at a moment's notice when it has been their rules, their lack of enforcement, etc., that have created chaos in the first place.
They need to gather, make lawful, enforceable rules, and say starting on such and such date in the future, these things/players won't be allowed. Don't try to penalize schools who have already invested time and money getting guys on their current teams due to the NCAA 's, etc., shitty rules that allowed it.

"There's a lot of parts of this I don't like. I don't think professionals should come back to college sports and college football. Do I believe NFL players should come back to college? No. However, I will operate at the highest level within the rules to give LSU the most competitive advantage as possible. As are many other major programs. When the rules and laws change, we will operate at the highest level at that time within the rules."

He doesn’t like it. That is why he and LSU admin called them up and encouraged them to sue for eligibility
Sure.
Sure.

I’m absolutely ok with the coach and team that spearheaded this being excluded. No other conference has their teams suing to get a TRO to play pro players. Only LSU is doing that. Punish the tumor responsible for this issue
If no other SEC team signs pro players by 9/2 then every SEC team should refuse to play y’all while pro players are on your team.
And let me guess, your dumbasses think a judge can force teams to play games
