At his age and assuming he doesn’t burnout, and with the current college football climate,

Kirby Smart will pass Nick Saban in national championships.

tDecline is real (their last loss is the second worst in the Saban era at Bama,) Dabo is done at Clemson, Ryan Day can’t win the big one, A&M is 8&4, Riley will never have a defense.

All hail Kang Kirby.

Bama won the SEC last season. That's not much of a "decline," if any.

Kirby mastered the recruiting game. Recruiting is still important but less so now that free agency is here. Maybe he masters that as well. Maybe not.

Dude, you need to relax, we got one this year, Saban is far from done, I think he has at least 4-5 really solid years left.

Dabo is a really good coach and with them in the ACC they are gonna be in the mix for the foreseeable future

Riley WILL win big at USC, if he has the right DC, they are gonna be scary good.

I do believe we will win a few more Natties with Kirby at UGA as long as he stays in Athens (which should be at least 10-15 more years).

Good times to be a UGA fan for sure, but pump the brakes a little brotha.

Oh Jesus. Cannot wait to see the melt from GA fans this year. That defense is gone....Kirby has no clue how to develop a consistent offense. This is gonna be entertaining.

It would take an act of Congress to oust Kirby at this point.

This continues to be one of the stupidest takes on the Rant.

That defense isn't gone, we just changed personnel. I think we take less of a step back than most people are predicting.

You think Kirby has any input on the offense? I hope he doesn’t because if he does , it seems to me he prefers to play a pro style i formation type offense and you have to be really good on defense and have really good skill players to win that way .

If I’m Georgia I would hope he stays away from the offense and doesn’t get comfortable with the coordinator he has now because that guy wasn’t out scheming anyone.

Imagine what uga would have done last year with a joe Brady type coordinator and that type offense that lsu ran in 2019

They would have won it all and probably would have beaten Clemson much worse and may have even won the sec

Please don't start this stupidity. NIL and the portal are completely changing the game. It is barely even in Kirby's control anymore. It would take a near miracle to pass Saban

You lost a once in a generation defense last from last year. Kirby is great, no doubt, but if you don't expect some dropoff from that you are fooling yourself.

I remember folks saying the same about Urban Meyer.

There's "Counting your chickens before they hatch," then there's, "Counting your chickens before daddy chicken has even asked mama chicken out on a date," and then there's the OP.

Care to discuss who won the NC in January?

Kirby is younger than Saban was when he won his first NC...but he is also older than Big Game Bob was when Oklahoma won his NC in 2000. He is the same age Jimbo Fisher was when FSU won their last NC in 2013...So, will Kirby be the next Saban, or the next Stoops/Fisher?
