If this gets really ugly really fast for the Aggies, checking now to see if Jameill Showers potentially could return to A&M (at UTEP).

Look man, I don't care that Cam took the money and ran. He was an incredible player, and won it for y'all on the field. I wouldn't get so defensive about it when people make accusations. Like another poster said, y'all got the crystal ball that year.

Honestly, it's likely nothing happens. Past precedent says the NCAA largely ignores this stuff when it comes to big programs.
That being said, it has me concerned.
Problem is, A&M doesn't have that kind of pull. They are big enough to be in the "make an example of them" category but not powerful enough to be in the "untouchable" category.

Nothing will happen ala Cam Newton When Ohio State, USC, etc. got their bans it happened well before the season began so they had time to know and prepare NCAA doesn't want to interfere with the upcoming season. Just like NCAA didn't want to interfere with the 2010 season with Cam and Auburn making a BCS run. Instead NCAA swept it under the rug and found an excuse not to act. This will be the same. If this was discovered back in January when it happened, discipline would have been ordered. But the season is too near now. NCAA doesn't want that PR disaster
Not true at all.
They have been investigating this for months and have witnesses.
Texas A&M might not get sanctions or anything, but Manziel could most definitely be ruled ineligible. That happens all the time.
You are conflating an institutional issue and sanctions with a ruling against an individual player. That is why Newton was ruled ineligible for ONE day during the season. They addressed it and let him off the hook.
Sanctions against the program can take a year or two, ala Miami.

SIAP, but with the talk of JF receiving a five figure payment for the autographs, they continue to cite his family wealth. Out of curiosity, what do Johnny’s parents do for a living?
Evidently they breed prize winning QBs?

OSU was chump change compared to this.
The penalty Ohio State got was chump change,, a mere slap on the wrist from the autograph dealings.
JM will probably get told dont do it again.

No way. There's no way he's ruled ineligible. It's too good to be true.

I'm fine w/ how things turned out, but you're trying to compare something that isn't the same. It was never proven that money changed hands and that's the kicker of the whole thing. If Johnny or his dad took money, then they're in trouble.
