Rival or not, we've had some of the wildest games with Arkansas over the years. Always very entertaining and underrated.

When Arkansas played Texas from 1958 to 1991, 20 games were decided by a TD or less.

The only rivalries worth a damn are:

1. Yearly In-state games (Ole Miss/Miss St, Clemson/South Carolina, Michigan/Michigan St, Iowa/Iowa St, Texas/Texas A&M, Georgia/Georgia Tech, Oklahoma/Oklahoma State, USC/UCLA etc.)

2. Yearly games when, several times, both teams were in or near the top ten with conference or national championship implications (Florida/Georgia, Oklahoma/Texas, Alabama/LSU, USC/Notre Dame, Ohio St/Michigan, Alabama/Tennessee, etc.)

3. Or both of the above (Florida/Florida St, Alabama/Auburn, Florida St/Miami)

Everything else is meh, forced, or nobody gives a sh*t.

2 years ago our fanbase was pumped because we had texas coming to town

That game will be a game of interest to a great number of people as evidenced by the last game. There’s a good bit of history between these teams.

Bingo. It will be important again for both sides.

Immediately. No waiting on this one to get back where it was.

Football

Ole Miss
LSU
Tennessee was close (on our side) when we played every year

Basketball
Kentucky
Mizzou

Baseball
LSU
Texas

Track & Field
We have no Rival

We've had a few short term rivalries spawn up in the big 3 for a few seasons, but nothing that really lasts.

Both will have to be relevant in the SEC regularly for anyone to give a sh*t.

We have no SEC rivals though many would like to be.

But Texas, frick Texas when they get here.

Ole Miss is 100% a baseball rival. No question about it.

This board gave a shite when we last played texas and I appreciate it.

Some here understand what our games were and got on board with it.

You apparently don’t know shite..

We literally never think about you. But this explains the random pot shots from Arkansas posters.

Don't flatter your irrelevant selves. You're starting to sound like aggy.

C'mon man. Arky destroyed LSU dreams repeatedly and often over the last 25 years. I don't view you as a rival, just as a danger to any optimism we may have when on the bubble of NY6 bowls.

But I like how they eat and drink. Arky can haaang. I have a hard time thinking about a crappy experience with an Arky fan.

for LSU, same thing but we've had much better luck against them and knocked them out of the SEC championship at least once.

This has never happened.

Texas
LSU
WAOM

I work with a bunch of Texans and go to Texas often for work. The rivalry is alive and well. Keyboard warriors might disagree, but talk to actual fans and it's real. We're all under 40 so it's not a generational thing.

Corndogs similarly, but nowhere near as strong or universal.

WMS transcends mere rivalry and descends into a actual destructive hatred.
