Ark would only be ranked third simply because it's been so long since we were in the same conference but that rivalry is going to heat up pretty quickly I think once we're in the SEC. I'm sure Ark fans will agree with me

Absolutely. The day Texas joins the conference they will immediately bypass every team we’ve called a rival since we joined the SEC. No question about it.

We hated you frickers in football because y'all beat us most of the time. Y'all hated us in basketball because we beat y'all most of the time.
I also remember back in the old SWC days when we were playing y'all in Austin in baseball and y'all were giving one of our pitcher's shite and I think we wound up losing. Our pitcher proceeded to walk over to the section that was giving him holy hell and take out his wad of chewing tobacco and throw it amongst the Longhorn fans that was giving him so much hell.
There was no love lost on either side.

Also, to the Mizzou people....I don't think your admin really takes sports all that seriously. Y'all are yanks, and you don't fit in culturally with the SEC. We don't respect your athletic dept. Maybe one of these days we will give a shite when we play y'all, but until then, I guess we'll continue to lose games to y'all when we probably shouldn't.

Losing texas week was the only thing I didn’t like about leaving the SWC. That was a state wide event for us and no other game can ever come close to comparing to it.
I’m glad we’re getting it back and hopefully it will be yearly like the good old days.

I don’t see it. With all due respect for mizzou fans it seems that not even our team gives a crap about this game.
When we played lsu at thanksgiving our team showed up and played on a higher level than they do with this forced rivalry crap. But it didn’t help that our program was in a funk.
I don’t see it being anymore than just another game. But that’s just the way I feel about it.

It will happen if they are in our "4 team pod". Give it 5-10 years and there will be some genuine dislike IMO.

Ole Miss-Arkansas is certainly a great rivalry. Have a good history and those mfers spoiled our chance for the SEC championship game. Houston Nutt definitely adds to it. Arkansas will always be my #3 behind State and LSU but it’s certainly heated. From 4th and 25 to the Piggie Jackass that stole an Ole Miss helmet last year

It will make Arkansas a better program because they will be extra motivated as Arkansas lacked a program that they really hated in the SEC.
When Arkansas played Texas back in 2021, Arkansas drew a larger crowd at that game than any SEC home game during the year. It was also one of the loudest games I have been to.
