The East was at a historic high point bitch tits.

Lmao. In 2013 when Mizzou won the East; Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee (the only teams to win a national title in this division and who represent the Eastern team in Atlanta 95% of the time) were ALL unranked and finished with a combined record of 17-22. I think you can count on one hand how many seasons UGA, Florida, and Tenn have all finished unranked in the last 40 years.

In 2014, Georgia was the only other team ranked in the division and they beat y’all 39-0. 2013 and 2014 were literally the two worst seasons for Eastern teams since arguably the inception of the SEC title game in 93. That is the only reason Mizzou went.

But ugh yeah, the East was at an all time high lol wtf are you talking about

Yeah, we’ve been to the championship game 3 times but it wasn’t because we were some Saban coached Bama type of team. In fact, one year we went was because Bama was on probation and not eligible for postseason play even though they were clearly the best team in the conference. It was cool we went but nothing to beat our chest over except maybe the year we imploded in the championship game against Florida…….damn…

But a funny story to me is the year Bama knew they would be banned from post season play they scheduled their last game against Hawaii in Hawaii…haha..a big middle finger to the NCAA imo…..

Dude, stfu.

Let’s start with Georgia. They beat LSU and lost to the national runner up in the National Championship on one of the flukiest plays ever. They beat Top5 ranked South Carolina but no shite those three teams weren’t ranked. Mizzou and SC were stacked.

Mizzou beat Johnny Manziel and a ranked Ole Miss team in Oxford. Only loss was to a fluke missed fg in overtime to SC.

South Carolina best Clemson, Wisconsin and Mizzou. Took a hard loss to Georgia and Tenner.

Midseason Florida was even competitive as hell but fell apart obviously at the end.

If any season the East was down it was 2015 but it wouldn’t fit your stupid fricking narrative. A 25th ranked Florida and a 22nd ranked Tennessee or two top 5 teams.

Don’t be a retard, retard.

Of course you’re going to agree.

2014 Mizzou was comparable to your above scenario.

2013 Mizzou and South Carolina were good as hell. Period.

It was just an opinion based on my observation. I think lsu backed into one this year as well. No big deal.

I’ll crow when we win it all convincingly, which is doubtful in my lifetime.

Now let’s talk about track and field…..haha..

I’ll just save you time and post records and rankings. You know, the thing that actually determines if a team is good or not.

Georgia: 8-5. Unranked.

4-8. Unranked. Lost to Georgia Southern. Our Head coach was terminated after losing 7 straight games. I don’t think you actually watched a single game if this is seriously your description of Florida. That, or you’re just a fricking dipshit. Idk which but it actively disproves any verifiable point you are trying to make.

You won the east in its worst years in decades is all I said. The division was utterly uncompetitive with a down Florida, UGA, and Tennessee. You can’t really refute that but get upset about it I suppose

I didn’t know about the 20 years. I know Frank Broyles loved/hated playing Vaught. Both were great coaches. I’m old enough to remember Ole Miss fans shrugging when Arkansas joined the conference. We played them every year anyways so what did it matter to us. I remember 1988 in Little Rock. We lost 13-21. But we were stopped at the goal line by a stout defense. Long ride home. Better ride home was 2 years later after the hit by Mitchell. Knocked Mitchell out making that hit. Arkansas was #13 in the rankings in that game. Also at War Memorial. We pulled that off 21-17. So many great games. Like when I go to Little Rock for a game (which hasn’t happened in years). Most of my family is buried there.

One side note...I’ve never been treated badly by an Arkansas fan. Win or lose. Just a thought.

I think the best approach when going to games, win or lose, is don’t start no shite won’t be no shite.

But I’ve not seen any problems from our fans or any visitors.

It’s largely unreciprocated but the biggest game on Arkansas’s calendar every year is LSU. You win that game as a coach and it counts for two for your reputation.

Texas would immediately be on that level upon joining the SEC.

Fo sho.

There are many good people out there willing to break bread and extend some hospitality with a stranger/fan of the opponent.

1. Texas
2. Ole Miss
3. LSU (slipping due to the schedule change)
4. Texas A&M/Auburn

The only people who say Mizzou and Arkansas are rivals are people shilling Shelter Insurance.

Like I've said, it isn't personal that we don't want Mizzou to end the year. It just isn't a meaningful game to us.

Twitter would disagree and online banter is 10000% why this game keeps getting pushed.

The thing about Texas/Arkansas is that if you spend any time at all around older fans, you get it. I know several old-time football players from the 70s and 80s. Hell, probably 70% of them are FROM Texas. The student-body is 30% Texan at this point.

It's a natural rivalry to Arkansas fans due to history and the back-and-forth between the two states.

Arkansas had at least two or three seasons in the 60s and 70s when the loss that kept them from being national champs was the Texas game. 1969, and 1978 are two examples.

frick Texas.

Again, of course your records are going to be shite when you have two teams that aren’t normally at the top loaded.

Are you going to sit here and post and tell me that 2013 Mizzou and 2013 South Carolina weren’t legit?

And you’re going to tell me that 2013 East was worst than 2015.

Name another time that 2 East teams finished top 5.

Name another season when 3 East teams finished ranked. Just because Florida sucked don’t mean shite. Georgia was right outside the top 25.

Y’all’s narrative is absolutely stupid lol
